One of the most daunting tasks during the COVID-19 outbreak is intubation. Not only are the patients extremely sick and fragile, but the risks to staff and the strategies employed to prevent them add extra complexity.
Associate Professor David Brewster is an intensivist and anaesthetist and Melbourne's Cabrini Hospital, and a board member of the Safe Airway Society. He joins Todd to chat about the recently released SAS guideline for intubation of the COVID-19 patient.
