Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the 8th annual International Writers’ Festival is on schedule to open on May 10th at Mishkenot Sha’ananim in Jerusalem. The four day festival will draw some of the world’s top international authors, such as Nicole Krauss, Matthew Weiner and Michael Pollan as well as Israeli writers like Etgar Keret and Ilana Bernstein, the winner of the Sapir prize. Moti Schwartz, director general of Mishkenot Sha’ananim and festival director, told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that this year would be a digital event open to the entire world and invited the public to join in.
