Cancer survivors mark their journey with ink

A special Purim seuda, holiday meal, was held this week at Sheba medical center in Tel HaShomer for some 200 IDF injured soldiers. The event, which included a megillah reading, entertainment and more, was organized by Olamit Wolf, a Tel Aviv-based holistic therapist who has been involved in providing food to soldiers since the beginning of the war. She was involved in organizing similar events over the holiday at Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv and the Beit Leowenstein Rehabilitation Center. Wolf spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal about initiative.

Jerusalem Design Week is taking place at Hansen House in Jerusalem, June 22-29. The week features works, lectures, cultural events and more – all in keeping with this year's theme: lies and falsehoods. KAN's Naomi Segal heard more from Dr. Jeremy Fogel, a scholar in modern Jewish philosophy, and part of the curating team at Jerusalem Design Week.

Lies and falsehoods at Jerusalem Design Week

The Herzog College English Education Department is hosting a special tribute evening Tuesday, June 20th, to honor the memory of Lucy Dee, who was murdered along with two of her daughters, Maia and Rina, in a terrorist attack in the Jordan Valley this past April. Lucy Dee was a graduate of the Herzog College English Education course, and a beloved English teacher. The tribute evening is taking place in Migdal Oz, and will also be viewable on Zoom. The evening will include tributes from Lucy's colleagues and classmates, pedagogical workshops, and discussion of ways to inspire others to emulate the passion, values and leadership Lucy modeled in her teaching. Herzog College faculty member Dr. Amy Gelbart spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal about the event.
