Danielle reveals that she cross-contaminates while cooking. Alex takes Elvis' truck to Staten Island! Plus, what words should be banished from our vocabulary?!

The courses of this program were pre recorded.

We're not in Kansas, any man.

I'm Dorothy skipping down the yellow brick road, collecting all these.

People ran in the morning show.

Well, here we go, skipping up the yellow brick road. It is Tuesday, January fourteenth. I think we're all the man behind the curtains. We should we should come out from behind this thing.

How do you get out of here?

This curtain is huge? High everyone does anyone?

Wait?

Does anyone? Oh my god? Oh yeah, hold my hand. We gotta skip. Let's go to the poppy field first. Daddy needs to get a little hi, and then we'll roll on through it. Good morning, Gandhi, Good morning, Hi Danielle.

Hi.

Hello, there's scary Hi. Hi there, Producer Sam. Good morning, Froggy the scarecrow. Come on down, off that stick. Let's go for a walk, stick, Froggy. I know, yeah, pull that out. There's there, not there? Hello there, Senior Nate Scottie Bee is here. Hi Sinati, Good morning, I see Diamond in there hanging out, ready for your calls and your social media reach out and of course your text at fifty five. Uh, and here we go. We do have some guests today. We'll get into that in a few minutes. Every day so far this has been working out. Every day. I ask one of you to come up with the first song of the day today. We give it to Scary. Now, before you say what it is, you know it's gonna be rhythmic, it's gonna be dancy, it's gonna be clubby and sometimes in what and probably from the nineties, and probably from the nineties as much to say nostalgic. So what is your song to start the show? Sky be My Lover from laboose ah love Boos is okay, this is okay, this is all right. We can deal with this. Can we deal with this? Get well? In the immortal words of La booge ah ah a a want to be my lover? You know people are texting and saying, hey, that's La Boos. What happened to like click click?

Yeah?

What song?

Did they think?

I forgot singing that song Tonight is the Night? And it wasn't okay, it wasn't a hit. You know what, this poor song, it's so overshadowed by lave Booche. Should we give it a.

Fish from La Boos to let click Let's go.

Okay, all right, well it's the same song kind of in you know. Okay, so no pull up Lost Ketchup. Now I remember this song. I brought this song back from Europe when you remember, yeah, And it was a tiny microscopic dot of a hit for a minute, and we actually had them fly all the way to New York to perform for us on stage. Remember that total disaster. So so we went from La Bouche to let click and now we have Lost Ketchup. Remember this one. It is Scary, Just push up, that's all we have.

Yes, did you see the look on Scary's face while that was playing the three seconds? He had this scowl of like, oh, like he hates that song.

You don't like you don't like Lost Ketchup.

Actually, they played it on Norwegian Viva on one of the nights that we were on the ship, and it was awesome and they had the music video in the background and people were doing the dance.

I'm like, my god dance. There was a Lost Ketchup dance. Nice. A lot of people didn't know that. I'm surprised they had a video. So there's that. Anyway, let's move on. Our first caller of the day Mackenzie from Beautiful Tampa, the old stomping ground of Froggy and Lisa. So, Lisa Mackenzie says, just got into the car the other day and had an accident and had to call us and tell us about it. I'm glad you called us. Consider us your top dog. We'll represent you. Mackenzie. What happened in the accident. First of all, you're okay, right, You're physically all right.

Everyone's good, yes, yes, just you know, a little mentally scarred, like small joke. What happened?

What happened? Tell us?

Well, of course I was leaving Walmart, because you know that's where all the the action happens, right, I was trying to be a safe driver, and I was I was at a stop stop, stop light, looking left, looking right. People are beefing whatever cars were wishing by.

You know, just very very stressful.

Obviously, and I still bump in the back of my car, and I'm like, are you kidding me? I look out, I get out of my car. It was safe to do so, and I see my cars banged up on the back. And then to top it off, the lady that was laying on her horn behind the person that actually hit me drove by in this annoying little nasally voice, and she's like, maybe if you were paying attention and you wouldn't have gotten hit. I'm like, maybe if you were being so rude, I wouldn't have gotten it.

Yeah, yeah, maybe if we were in such a bit, she wouldn't be going to hell. How about that? I'm saying, well, so I was so but you're okay, and insurance was exchanged and blah blah blah.

Okay, I'm sorry lady that hit me. She was so nice, like she was just like, I'm so sorry. I'm like, listen, it's it's not that serious. Like nobody got hurt. It could have been so much worse.

So there you go.

It wasn't all right.

Well look I'm glad you're okay, and uh no matter who's your fault, it happened. It's stressful, you know, all right, right, Mackenzie, you're okay. O. God, you know I was a little upset than I was. I was sweating, like, oh God, like Kensey lost lost a limb or something. At least the airbag didn't deploy. You know a lot of good things. Hey, let me ask you a question. I know everyone listening is going to agree with this. Was there a song on the radio when the accident happened? Do you remember that?

I don't think so, okay, because.

I always say, if I get into an accident and there's a certain song on, if ever I hear the song again, I will turn it off. I' will ban it from my life.

Years and years and years ago, there was a song I don't even remember what it is now, but we were listening to it, I'm not even kidding you, on a cassette tape. We got to an accident. I ripped that thing out and tossed it out the window. I was like, I am not listening to that song again.

Go By.

It's the song's fault. If the song is will cause the I happen to say. You know, we give Danielle grief about her song selections. I believe there's an entire album of you will have an accident if you play this Danielle favorite.

My songs are friends.

Filled with songs that are likely going to cause an accident. Hey, well, Mackenzie, let's turn your luck around. What do we have for Mackenzie their senior name.

We're gonna be the empty of the price closet here, how about in Elvis Duran in the morning show hoodie thanks to Hackensack Meridian Health, and also a fifty dollars Wendy's gift card so you can grab that breakfast burrito.

How about it? There you go, bam, I mean I take that back absolutely all right. When you're in the drive through it Wendy's. Let's all keep our distance from the back of Mackenzie's car. Mackenzie, thank you for listening. It's great to have you here.

Every day.

You tell everyone in Tampa we say, Yo, what's up? Okay, noo, what's up?

In my condolences again, says Froggy for the book.

Thank you very much. I appreciate that. Thank you. There you go, well, thank you so much for listening. Mackenzie. Hold on one second, all right, there you go. Off we go. We do have a day. We do have a day. We've got things to talk about today, We've got things to do, We've got games to play. Let's go. We'll start it off with three things we need to know from Gandhi. Gandhi, I went to bed so early last night. I don't even know what happened. And the news. Didn't read or hear anything today. You are my only source. So here we go. What's going on?

Press?

Sure?

All right? The National Weather Service is warning of high winds in the Los Angeles area, a development that could impede efforts to fight the devastating fires there. Wind gusts could range from forty to seventy miles per hour, and coupled with low humidity, could further fuel the blazes that have left thousands of homes destroyed and so far at least twenty four people dead. Meanwhile, homeowners who lost their homes are still doing a local utility, with numerous lawsuits having been filed against Southern California Edison that claim the company failed to take its electrical equipment offline despite red flag warnings about damaging wins that were forthcoming. They also claim the Eaten Fire is the result of Edison continually disregarding the safety of the public when it came to their actions with their equipment. The Eaten Fire has burned over fourteen thousand acres since breaking out one week ago, and they expected, obviously to continue. The overall death toll, like I said, stands currently at twenty four.

State lawmakers are planning.

To introduce a bill this week that would decriminalize sex work in Illinois. The measure would remove criminal penalties for adults engaging in consensual sex work, remove arrest and conviction records for sex workers, and establish a sex workers Bill of Rights. Advocates believe these policy changes would offer sex workers the ability to better vet clients and meet them in safer places. If approved, Illinois would become the first state to fully decriminalize sex work.

I can work without worrying.

I thought you'd be happy about that.

Off to Chicago, iroam And finally, with TikTok's future in the hands of the US Supreme Court, a Chinese app called red Note seems to be topping the app store lists. On Monday, red Note was the top free to download app on the Apple App Store. The Shanghai based Chinese language social media app allows users to share videos, post pictures, make text posts, shop just like TikTok. Justice has heard arguments last week over the impending ban of TikTok. Under a law signed last Spring. Byte Dance, which is TikTok's Chinese parent company, must sell the platform by January nineteenth or be banned in the United States over national security concerns. Not sure how this other app would skate through that, but we'll see people are downloading it left and right. And those are your three things.

Blas Elvis Duran in the Morning Show, So you know, we've been doing this for many years.

Our brother Greg, Ty's a frat boy who was with us on our show for so many years. And then he spread his wings and he flew down the hallway to another station. Well, now he's starting a podcast. He started it yesterday in the Mercedes showroom Ray Katina Mercedes and Edison, New Jersey. So it was his first podcast, you know, Great T. He's just he gets all nervous. It's his first show. You know what we all would. Yeah, So Alex and I decided to drive to Ray Katina Mercedes. Our friend Doug Wells, who is in charge there, he said, come on in, come surprise Greg. So Greg was doing his first live podcast, a Great Tea Live GTL. Yep, this GTL. Didn't this stand for Jim Tannon Laundry? Yes, yeah, Jersey Shore Well, no longer, it now stands for Great T Live. Anyway, So we rolled down to the Mercedes dealership and we we we bust tough the door and we surprise him during his podcast. He was so excited. It was so good to see him. He was doing a great show. You watched it.

I watched it a little bit.

I think I watched it before you got there, and he was just kind of going through his history and what he's been through lately and you know, stuff like that. I thought it was very interesting. I was like, wow, absolutely, yeah.

But what you didn't see on the camera is the catering, one of his favorite restaurants, brought lobster ravioli and they brought him big cigars and they smoke cigars.

So cool.

He had a great day. It was awesome and and you know, not a lot of people were not a lot of people were there. But that's how podcasts work. When you start no one's there, you know, it's a slow build.

Yeah, if it's live. Yeah.

Anyway, he was so excited to see us, and he sent a great, long, lengthy text to say thank you. And anyway, so Greg T. It's called Greg T Live, so look it up. You can actually watch yesterday's episode.

Yeah, and I think they're gonna be posting like clips, like like the highlights.

He should anyway, so it was good to see him yesterday. Any other news we need to catch up on on the show. This is our little meeting, so we don't have meetings, so we wait until we're on the air to have meetings, So why waste the time, Nathan, is your show, you're producer, what's going on? It's really your show, Elvis.

But we do have a guest popping in on the phone about two hours from now, and he's bringing another guest with him. And the relationship these two have. I don't know if they know of the relationship that the one has had in his head with the other one.

I think I think he. I think they she does know because she did whatever.

Whatever she knows, We're gonna hammer it home today, of course we are. Yeah. So Tommy Dedario, our good friend and our little brother, part of our show. He's in Denver, Colorado, and his special guest who's been on his podcast is waking up in Los Angeles doing incredible things for people who need help right now in LA. And we'll get into that a little bit later on the show. Producer, Sam, what did you have for dinner last night?

Last night was just sauce out of the jar?

But I saw tee it up some onions, you know, make it a little little fancier, and it ended.

Up okay, sauce out of the jar. You know that can be good, can be bad? Which jar was it. What can I ask you what it was?

It was a generic brand because right now my doctors have me gluten free, so a lot of them I can't eat. And for what it was, it was fine. I wasn't gonna host anyone with that sauce, but I was.

Did you doctor it a little yet? Some garlic?

Yeah?

Exactly, Yeah, doctor.

I seasoned the onion guard jets had some gluten. Turns out that it was the secret ingredient.

You know this sauce needs some gluten. All right, Well, anyway, let's get into the horoscopes. Who are you doing them with today?

How about Scotty b.

It's been a while.

Hey Scotty, Hey nunciates so beautifully.

I'll do my best birthday today. You share it with Dave Groll, l Cool, j Jason Bateman, Holland Taylor, and my good friend Meghan Capricorn. Just knowing you can do better should be anyway, Hold on at who's Meghan? She's a friend of mine.

Yeah, daniel wants to know.

No, Danielle already knows.

Here comes the U hole soft launch. All right, Capricorn.

Jets over there.

Just knowing you can do better should be inspiration enough to change your day, Hey, start over, We're all can learn percorn Go Capricorn. Just knowing you can do better should be inspiration enough to change Your day is a seven Aquarius.

The spotlight is on you. Don't waste this opportunity. Show them what you can really do. Your day's a ten Pisces.

The road ahead may seem long, but the road you've been down is longer. You're capable.

Your days of six Airies, your mind is incredibly powerful. If you think you can't, you've already stopped yourself before finding out.

Your day's a five Taurus.

Instead of getting more, repurpose what you already have, it will be more rewarding.

Your days of nine, hey Gemini.

A healthier you can mean a lot of things, so don't compare your version to someone else's.

Your day's a seven Cancer.

You owe somebody flowers. It's not the it's not the item that's highly valuable, valuable, but the gesture.

Your days of nine, Hey Leo, the level of difficulty should not stop you from trying. Instead, focus on the gain potential. Your day's a nine Virgo.

Don't be bothered with someone else's choice just because you would have made a different one your days of six.

Hey, Abra, make sure you follow through on your word. It's the most valuable thing you have to offer.

Your day's an eight.

Scorpio.

You're making a situation worse by keeping feelings to yourself. Communicate with that person. Your day's an eight.

And finally, Sagittarius, don't allow yourself to get swept up in the gossip. It could come back around your days an eight.

And those are your Tuesday morning horscopes.

There you go, Danielle, what do you have coming up in your first report of.

Oay, I'm gonna talk about bad Bunny getting a residency and did he hit with another lawsuits?

All right? Yeah, another one?

Yep?

How many is that now?

Oh?

I don't even know, but it's a lot.

Isaacs.

Hey, this is Taylor Swift.

Hi, this is this is a And you're listening to Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

You know how it is when someone is driving your car or your truck, yep, and you're always gonna worried like this is it's my baby, right you know?

Yeah?

Well, so this morning Alex says, I'm gonna take I'm gonna take your truck just Stutton Island. He put him on. I think he's on the phone. He said, I'm going to take your truck to Staten Island. I got a surprise, a little gift I'm gonna put on the truck, installing on the truck. I'm went, okay, great, So, uh Hi, how's my truck? How's my ram? Hi, Garrett, here's my name? How's my Gary Barbera on the boulevard ram truck doing this morning? You haven't wrecked it, have you not yet?

But it's just still time.

All right. So you drove all the way from the farm into Staten Island. That thing wouldn't even fiddle Staten Island.

Yeah, So I got it on Staten Island and now I got off the expressway because it's backed up. Welcome to Staten Island, and I'm taking the side streets and all of a sudden there's a red light blank and up there it goes again. Did you hear it?

Yeah?

I heard that.

Yeah, what do we do? What did you do?

What did you do to my truck? What's going on?

Right?

So, so this has been going off since I got off the expressway, and I'm like, what is going on? What did I do to his truck? And I'm sweating now, and I'm like, uh oh, it's something wrong? Is something wrong? But then I realize it's the speed cameras and red light camera it tells you, and State Island is full of cameras. So every ten seconds the salarm's going off.

Wow, wait a minute, hold on. If you're running these things and speeding, that's my license plate. They're gonna give me. They're gonna give me your speeding tickets.

No, no, I'm not speaking it just letting you know where the camera's.

We'll see if you put one little scratch on my ram, I will be so upset. That is you know, that's my baby. That's my baby.

I'm taking good care of it.

Okay, he's trying to surprise you with something, Elvis.

I what he says, it's a gift. He won't tell me what it is. Are you putting like a big American flag in the back of the flies around when I drive it? Okay, okay, good, I'll match Froggy. It'll be perfect.

Yes, what you need is one of those like the flagpole holder that goes in the trailer hitch that's.

Exactly what I mean. Love a good statement truck, Uh, Garrett to say you should wrap it with the Elvis Traine Morning Show logo.

Do not do that.

Oh that's a good idea, Garrett.

No, No, all right, Nate. Any guesses what is he doing to my truck? What's the modification you get so you can roll coal? Because I could totally see you doing that, Elvis, where you step up, where you step on the you don't know about rolling cold?

Now what does that mean? Oh my god, Frod, can you explain this?

When you step on the gas, a giant puff of black smoke flies out, especially if the person behind you. You need one of those horns, those train horns, so that when somebody's in front of you and they don't move, you just pump that thing.

Man, they jump out of their skin, you know, if you really want to offend the world. But put like the Confederacy bugle call or something, do not do do not do any of the to my truck. It is weird, though, well I know, but how do you don't wouldn't you feel the same way if I borrowed your truck? I mean, you're you worry about it when someone else is driving it.

It's okay because I know if you crash it, you'll buy me a new one.

That's the rule.

That's my rule is don't never let anybody drive your car that can't afford to fix it.

Okay, that's a very good rule. All right, Be careful, Be careful with my baby.

I'm being careful.

Don't worry a little bit, Alex, go off roading, go off somewhere, and do not mud tire it.

Come on, Alan, Gary, Barbara already sent me a list of brand new trucks available. All right, I love you. Just be careful with my truck. Okay, love you.

I'll take good care of it.

Okay. Bye. There's just something about a pickup truck, man. I know you know what you know, Froggy, and of course you know somewhat what a pickup truck is like me. No, you're not, uh scary. I can't see you driving a pickup. But you know, once you drive it, once you go truck, you don't give up. You know what I'm saying.

Wow, you know I've never ever been I've never been behind the wheel of anything larger than a regular car like a sedan or a convertible I don't drive anything that's even even one of those uh you know, mini vans or those things that you guys.

Yeah, I forget about Okay, good, it's scary. It's so much room, Daniel, how much rooms in my truck?

Let me tell you.

I I love driving in that damn truck and Froggy' truck. I could see myself living that life one hundred vercent.

So like a position of power that you feed.

And it's comfortable, and it's like the winds in your hair. You can get to snap.

Your feet on the dam I know my feet on the dashboard.

I'm listening to my country music. I am loving life in that truck.

I love it.

I love life in the truck. But no, scary. The sedan is more than you can handle. You're fine. I'm afraid of you gonna bang into well ask Gandhi she rides with you in that car.

It's I've watched him have so many crash out meltdowns in that little car.

He does not need anything bigger.

I'm driving through the city. You can't drive through.

There's very narrow you know, to drive a huge ash truck in the city.

Yeah, sure, you get sure. You are if that's your vehicle, that's what you drive. We got we gotta go, We gotta go, we gotta go. I know, but your truck isn't quite as large as mine.

Froggy struck truck.

I love the truck measuring session. Ate Nate drives a talka Alright, we gotta go, we gotta go. Danielle, daniel Danielle, Danielle. You have so much happening, so much going on.

All right, so let's talk about the really cool stuff going on. For wildfire relief. Netflix is stepping up with a ten million dollar donation to help those impacted by the California wildfires.

That's amazing.

Beyonce is donating two and a half million dollars. Also, Beyonce was supposed to make a major announcement today. She is postponing that David Spade is offering five thousand dollars to anybody who helps catch people lighting more fires, because apparently that's the rumor that some idiots are I want to say another word, but I'll get in trouble are lighting more fires to keep it going. So he's offering money for anybody that gets caught doing that. The announcement for the Oscar nominees has been pushed back again. It's now scheduled to happen on Thursday, the twenty third. The show itself is still on for March second as of right now.

And we've been.

Following Heidi Montagu and Spencer Pratt and how they lost.

I always say, is it Montag? Okay?

Hi?

I try not to say your name every.

Well anyway, but anyway, this is actually really interesting. So she put out her album back in twenty ten called Superficial and it was a total flop. But people have been asking how they can help Spencer and Heidi out because they did lose everything. So Spencer said, we want you to buy the album. Get the album, and they did, and the album is now number one on the iTunes album chart. How about that? So people wanting to give them money. This is how they're doing it making the album number one. Bad Bunny just announced that he is doing a residency in Puerto Rico starting in July twenty one shows and what he's doing. The first nine concerts will be held exclusively for local residents, which I think is so cool because he wants to give back to where he came from.

So that's awesome.

Did he, along with two unnamed men, facing another sexual assault lawsuit from an unnamed woman. This is another absolutely ridiculous story. The woman claims that she was sixteen years old when did He assaulted her In two thousand.

She says she.

Ran into him and two men who worked with him after leaving a babysitting job in Manhattan. They offered her a ride home, but didn't drop her off at home. She says she panicked. Did he give her a drink to calmer down, made her feel groggy, and took her to another location and allegedly sexually assaulted her. I mean, how I mean, I can't even just absolutely disgusting. Let's talk about Drew Barrymore. She had Siza on her show and they were talking about revenge on people that cheat, and Drew said she made the girl that her ex boyfriend was cheating on her with meet them for drinks. They all sat there and she said, you're gonna sit here and you're gonna listen to the two of us talk.

They the guy did.

He listened to everything, and now they are dear friends. Years later they worked it all out and their dear friends. I don't know if that would have the two girls are they know her and the guy and the guy girl and the girl. I think that he's he's a friend, and I think she might even be a friend. What are we watching tonight? What'd you say?

Everyone's friends? It's nice.

Let's see.

We've got Star Wars Skeleton Crew on Disney. Plus you've got Diddy The Making of a Bad Boy on Peacock that is on tonight, and Diamond said Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is on tonight and that this season has been fantastic. Real Housewives of New York is on as well. That's not as fantas, but she says you should watch it anyway.

And that's my Danielle.

Report because she rates them.

Yeah, she rates them.

Yeah, this one's better than the other one. Well, doesn't everyone have their own favorite? Maybe?

Yeah?

Maybe?

Hey? You know what, I finally caught the season finale of land Man last night.

Wow.

What a what a show? And you know, now I'm kind of, you know, in that downer mode because my season's done, and I know it takes them it seems like forever to come out with another season, and they even haven't really told us there is for a fact a new season coming, yeah right, per.

With Danielle found out about an hour ago. We don't even know if there is an official season too. Yeah hard, We could just be done.

No, I can't buy that. Landman was so great. I love those characters. I know Gandhi loved it too. Did you love it or like it? Or what was your Landman?

I like it.

I think I was just talking to Nate about this. I think the concept for a really great show is there if it had better stuff around it, like what like better writing, I think a little better character development. It seems like a really really good idea that has been packaged for like mainstream kind of very vanilla surface, but I think there's potential for it to be really really great.

So hopefully season two does that well.

Coming from you, that's a good review, Okayand Ghandi is very very very picky and very particular about what she likes, and that's good. That's good to complain.

About something, please do. Okay, here's my complaint. I have not seen it yet. It is on my list, but the three of you decide you're going to just discuss everything that happens on it in the room. If I had done that, especially you, Nathaniel. You would have bitched me out one hundred. I just said here quietly and took it all in and said, oh, well, now maybe I don't have to watch because I know this, this, this and this.

But wait, I thought on multiple occasions we had said, is anyone in here gonna watch it?

And no one play?

Does no bull crap a ding dolls? Because it did not happen?

Is language language language? You just say, bull crapit gone?

Please show said it's on my list, and I have to watch it because everybody talks about.

It not correct? All right, Well, you know, and you did to be fair. You never told us to hush up, but I do to be perfectly transparent. As they say, I don't think we really said enough to make it ruined. I don't think you're you're okay. It doesn't make you're okay.

Because if the tables would turn, it would be like this with Nate.

You should have done that. Didn't want to have heard anything.

I didn't want to be. I didn't want to be I didn't want to be you.

Nate doesn't even want to be Nate. It's okay, right, that is true. I totally get I totally get it all right. I know we did part one yesterday. Later in the show, we have to do part two. This is a genius game, a sound game music sound game that Gandhi came up with called skip It. Like when you hear a song coming in your not the speakers are in your headphones, You're like, no, skip it that one song. We all have dozens. I'm sure you have as you're listening to the song or two that you would actually turn our show off if you heard it, which makes me sad. So come out later. We got to do another round of that also, Jennifer love Hewitt. Let's go ahead and let the cat out of the bag. Tommy to Dario. Of course, our little brother who has his own podcast introduced interviewed her not long ago and they're pretty good friends. As a matter of fact, he used to have a crush on her, huh. And she has come out with a line of incredible wear, stuff to Wear, with one percent of the proceeds going to help everyone affected in Los Angeles affected from the fires. We're gonna have her on, We're gonna wake her up. She's West Coast time, and so is Tommy. Wonder IF's in the same bed.

I doubt that start the rock.

I doubt it. Anyway, we'll have them all later and tell you how you can buy some really cool merch from Jennifer Love Hewett and you'll be helping people out as well. What a busy day. Thank you for the show. Celebrate the journeys that bring us closer together with an exclusive offer on a vehicle you'll adore at the Mercedes Benz Holiday Love Celebration. Freshen up your morning with Wendy's Breakfast like a breakfast baconator, or a grilled sausage breakfast burrito, or even a honey buddy ready for a fresh wake up call. It's got to be Wendy's at participating us Wendy's. I'm so glad you decided to show up today.

Right now, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Oh my god, just go back from the kitchen. Do you see this?

You got?

What is it?

Well?

I keep butter in there. Yeah, there's the crumbs in my butter. Foul. Look if I put crumbs in my butter. It's okay, I know where the crumbs come from. And another thing is, if you're doing a peanut butter jelly sandwich, you need separate utensils for the peanut butter and the jelly. Oh sure, you don't want to get peanut butter in your jelly. Who cares?

Oh, I'd be just scoop it out, like the rest of it out, Like who cares? Like go back in with the knife and like scoop the whatever you got in there out and then wipe it off.

Why can't you just wipe off the knife before you double dip it.

You could do that, but that you know, I got a lazy attitude of you guys sound like my husband because you have no idea. This is one of the biggest fights in the house, so big that my mother in law in England is part of this fight. What happened because he cannot stand if he's got butter and he opens up the tub and there's like crumbs in it or jelly in it, same thing with the peanut butter, and he gets so upset. So any time that happens in my house, accidentally, I text my mother in law and I'm like, guess what I just did. Oh boy, we're gonna have a fun today. Because she knows that's one of his biggest pet peeves. He cannot stay. He's like and he says the same thing, Why just use another knife or wipe the knife off?

And in my head, I'm.

Like, oh my god, I do, and I continue to.

Get in trouble for it.

That's like blowing something up in the microwave and leaving it for the next person to come clean up.

No, that's different because it's a little bit of crumbs. It takes two seconds to just scoop the crumbs out.

That could have been your two seconds, but you left it for someone else and else there.

Sometimes I forget, let me rush, let me ask you this, Let me ask you this. Do you always have like a little butter out like at room temperature? Yes, I do.

I have gee out, not regular.

Butter ghee perfect. You should always keep that out anyway, But as far as the room temp butter, okay, Look, if there's a couple of crumbs on the left side, okay, well I'll go to the right side. It's okay, I can, I can. I can manage that. But the main butter from the fridge I bring out for other purposes baking whatever. You don't mean a master baker, yes, and I don't. I don't want to find crumbs and I need for that to be pure and clean. Agreed, Okay, agreed, it's just it's it's I don't know. At the end of the day, does it really hurt to have a few bread crumbs in it?

No?

Yes?

No? Oh, froggy, froggy. Froggy ran back from bathroom just to be a part of this argument.

Use a second knife. That's what I always say, Like, if you're gonna make peanut butter and jelly number one, use or use the peanut butter first, don't don't cross contaminate, Like, just use a second knife.

Okay, I'll wash it.

But my question, if you're not going to get that much in the other jar, let.

Me finish, let her finish.

What is the big deal of you going in with your knife and then scooping out the remnants of whatever?

I have to clean up your mask?

I say, say, I get up really early for work, and I leave really early, and I'm in a rush, and I don't have time to clean that.

I'm given one spreader and I'm making peanut butter and jelly. Me hold on, just a one spreader thing. You take the peanut butter first, and then you can stick it in the jelly without getting peanut butter in it. Hold on, but the opposite is not true, because if you go jelly first, you're definitely getting jelly in your peanut butter.

You have you have to get the peanut butter off the utensil. You have a peanut butter soperate. So sometimes yes, yes, yes it does. There's there's essence of peanut butter and there. Secondly, people are saying, well, won't you use that squeezable jelly. I don't. I tell you why because I like exotic jelly flavors that don't come and they don't come in a squeezable thing.

To wipe the knife off just using napkin pick it up, it takes an extra three seconds.

Right.

I'm not saying you're not right, I'm just saying.

I don't do it scarier. The reason COVID exists because you guys know nothing about cross contamination. Hey, all of you, all of you, stop it, stop it. I'm going to clear this room. Stupid they're talking about crumbs and jelly and butter. Secondly, you want me to put an end to this, What about our friend Deanna, who's highly allergic to peanuts? Really, that's not in my house.

In my house, nobody's allergic to peanuts in my house?

Why not? But in this house here?

Okay? But I wouldn't do it in this house here I did in my house.

Home, I would, But now that I remember that Deanna's here, I would.

I would be very careful, Like, get out of here.

You have agies for almonds. There's almond allergies. Absolutely, would you wake up nuts? Matthew? Like nineteen? Can we move on? Please? Oh god, I have guys? What is your.

I just lick the knife.

You lit the knife, so your saliva is now in the goo? Is what you're saying?

Oh yeah, it's mine?

Damn, yeah, but wait it's only hers? Is it only yours?

Yes, it's only mine, it's yours. No.

No, if you have a friend, come over one at a time, guys, please, one at a time. This is turning into like a no, we need a ring around us. We're we're in a match here. This is not good. Now, go ahead, Matthew. What were you saying, I.

Mean I do have a roommate, but my roommate doesn't know about that.

Okay, okay, you just know you just negated this whole thing.

Matthew, what are you doing?

Yes, Gandhi.

Matthew is the most monstrous of everybody, because, first of all, you're not supposed to even eat out of things in your in your fridge and.

Put it back.

As soon as you introduced saliva to something, it starts to break things down. That's gross, it's it's unhealthy. You shouldn't do it. Also, everybody acting like they can't just wipe off a knife is insane.

And okay, so may I just enter something you just said? Yes, when it comes to milk, yes, I drink out of the carton because Alex AI shut up, Matthew. I've had enough of you. Alex doesn't drink milk at all. I'm the only one of the house that drinks milk. It's my own private stash.

Okay, Well, what if somebody comes over and asks you for some milk?

No, no one, no one's coming to my house and asking for milk, and I won't give it to him. Secondly, sometimes I'll eat a peanut butter sandwich and then drink a little milk, so there's probably peanut butter on the milk carton.

Oh, this is why kids can't have those parties at school anymore, where everyone bakes cookies.

You pos, yes, Froggy what This is why I'm nervous to eat at people's house because exactly what's going on right now? You don't know what they do to their things at their house, and then you go over and have dinner with them. How do you know they didn't drink out of the carton or lick the knife or eat this. I get so nervous. I don't like it.

Here's my philosophy on that, Matthew, hear me out. We've lived this long. Yeah, we've we've lived this long. We're okay now, unless you have an allergy like Deanna has to nuts, including almonds. Scary r. What do you mean? Oops? Did you did you bring almonds in not thinking it would affect her? I didn't know that because a peanut has nothing.

If people are allergic to nuts in general, then I would put that ole in one category.

I feel bad now, Well, don't eat my jelly, Matthew.

You know, if we come to your house. I'm gonna make sure I bring my own jars of Smuckers and Jeff, I'm a Jiff boy.

I have a second jar for.

Special.

In my house.

We have four jars of peanut butter. Everyone has their own jar of peanut butter.

With their name on it.

Now because of this cross contamination problem that we have in the house.

Smart all right, there you go. All right, Well, this is what worries me about going to restaurants, Matthew, where they have to marry they call it marrying the ketchup, where they bring more ketchup out to pour in that bottle. I'm like, hmmm, where's that been? But you know what again, back to philosophy. We've lived this long, Matthew. I think we're gonna be okay. All right, yeah, allergy thing, all right, thank you, thanks for calling, Matthew, Thanks for wanting. We're coming over. We're bringing our own jars. Line eighteen is ten from Philly listening to Q one or two. Doesn't want to be dramatic, but you do have an issue with toast crumbs in the butter.

What do you mean, boss, contamination is it's a fireable offense at the felony charge.

Marry.

I managed restaurants for years in Philadelphia.

It stays separate.

Tim, I got a question. Yeah, it's a couple of crumbs.

It's not like I put the crumbs in my mouth before and then spit them in there. What's the big deal with just like taking your knife and like getting them out.

It makes the butter taste bird later there. It has that toasty flavor to it. You don't always want it.

You don't want crunchy butter.

You don't always want it like that.

A toasty flavor to your butter.

Peanut butter, peanut butter. Give me crunchy butter. All right, Well, thank you, Tim, and thank you for keeping us safe. It's nice to know that there are people managing restaurants like Tim who do care. Now, Tim, I'll tell you about the restaurant thing that drives me crazy. The lemon and the tea. You know, I see how they carve they cut these lemons, and they just use their hands and they slobber all over their hands, and I don't like. I don't I don't like lemon in my tea. It scares me a little bit.

We always use gloves and then tongues to move it later gloves when we're cutting and putting it in the in the holder, and then tongues to put it in there they do.

I was talking to the bartender, I said, I said to the bartender yesterday lunch, I said, I noticed you used tongs to put lemon in my glass. I said, when you go to the bathroom, what do you do there? He said, Oh, I use tongs. I use tongs to take my wiener ounte.

Depending on the person.

Yeah, this is true, but he uses the same tongs. I believe it's the lemon. I don't know it's contamination. Gotta move to Tim, Thank you so much, have the most beautiful day. Thanks for listening to us.

There you go.

Well do we have that out now? Did we purge all that negative energy?

Yep?

Yeah, No, I feel weirder.

Did I say I was going to.

None of us are ever going to.

Change Elvis Duran in the Morning Show, Elvis Duran and the Morning.

Show being of service to other people. I mean we keep hearing that as kind of a common a common rule for many successful people in life. And when I say successful, I don't mean rich necessarily. I mean people who just seem to have it together, who attract great friends and seem to always have the right thing to say, because their lives seem to be the kind of life you want to sort of emulate sometimes because they're just cool. I don't know, but being of service for other people, and of course, with what's going on in Los Angeles right now, with these fires, the ongoing story, let's not be those people who like, Okay, well that story was really really big last week. This week, what's the news story. Well, no, that story is still massive and will resonate for years to come. So the question is how can I be of service. I don't want to drive all the way to California be in the way. Well, no, you shouldn't do that, not unless you're a professional and they've said please come. But there are organizations you can study, learn more about, and then if you feel so inclined, you contribute whatever you can. Look, you know, money, money is an interesting, tricky thing for a lot of people, but at the very least, becoming informed, reading up on what's going on and how these people's lives and how these animals lives, how nature's life. Everything is being so affected on the West Coast in the Los Angeles area with these fires, and today in the news, I mean, we're hearing these wind patterns are still shifting. Then they don't really know where they're going, so they don't know what it means. It's all a guessing game, right Gandhi, I mean, I know you're reading up on it right now.

No.

Absolutely, they say that the winds are supposed to come in pretty strong later today and some areas they're saying it could be even hurricane force winds, which does not help the spread of that fire right now, so they're trying to do whatever they can. It's still raging out of control and barely contained at all.

Coming up in less than an hour of God about thirty five to forty minutes. We have, of course Tommy Dadario, our brother who works with us, and his podcast is so huge, and not long ago he interviewed Jennifer Love hewittt his childhood crushed and not knowing when he interviewed her that this would be going on in her neighborhood out in Los Angeles. And now she has stepped up to the plate and she's come up with a line of merchant, really cool sweatshirts and things that you can buy and one hundred percent of the proceeds go to people who need the help out there. So there's someone who's being of service.

Yep.

You know, I'm trying a whole list here, and of course you know me, mister, I'm never organized. Okay, I'll find it. I'll find it anyway, a list of ways to go and things to do, people to help Red Cross as always the easy answer. Red Cross is always there God every single time. Right, And you know the thoughts that you guys heard of anything else we need to be talking about before we get into the three things.

Well, I know that we've been talking a lot about the pets, because the pets need a lot of help out there too, finding them, taking care of them. And I just saw it was such an uplifting visual, this massive parking lot. It looked like a Walmart parking lot. It was so big, just filled with supplies of people bringing whatever they can to help everybody out, whether it's humans or animals.

And it's nice.

So if we can help in any way, of course, I think all of us should.

Did you see the video yesterday of that one guy being reunited with his dog and it was at the gate and the dog came to the gate. Oh my god, I could. I must have watched it like fifteen times. It was so amazing. He was so like, so happy to get his puppy back.

It was so amas.

And whoever, by the way, whoever is posting those and sharing them, thank you for doing that. Yes, I mean, you know, I'd rather see that than you know, new meat loaf recipes things. Let's see what else is going on? Oh, I love this. Every year they come up with a list of words that should be banished.

What are they?

Well, according to this source, the two thousand and five banished words list includes cringe. Cringe. That's that's a very used word.

It's now cringe.

It is cringe, cringe.

I think so.

I think cringe is definitely very I don't know, I think it's very suitable for many situations. Let's see game changer. Okay, really they're saying the word era and I don't know if Taylor Swift has anything to do with that, but sorry, not sorry, that's been gone for a while. And uh, do we use that too much? One hundred percent? We do use Yeah, that's why I.

Say two hundred percent or one thousand percent because I want to mix it up. One hundred percent is completely overused.

Why no, But two hundred percent, I mean, I mean technically there's no such thing, is there? I mean less there is something? Well, I guess you can't have. Yeah, if something went up by two hundred percent, that makes sense. But if you agree with someone at two hundred percent, that that makes no sense to me. That means I really agree with you.

No, I see, I totally understand that agrees with you.

And my mother used to say this word all the time, the word period, and not in relation to you know, any women's health issue. She would say, you know you need to do young men, you need a march back upstairs. You need to blah blah blah, period, meaning that's it. There's no more conversation. That sentence is closed. Yep, So there's that, you know, the words we need to retire? Are we done with any certain words?

I would like to get rid of people yelling iconic at things, iconic everything everything, Like everything's iconic is iconic anymore?

I got one slay? Can we get rid of you don't want to slay all day?

No, it's Santa exactly.

If it's a mode of transportation. I'm in, but let's talk. Yes, can we please get rid of the word gibbity. Skimmity is on the list. Unless you're like gen Z or Jen Alpha toilet, you probably you probably agree that skimmitty is just kind of a It's just it's just noise. You know, what does it mean?

Are you scatting?

Oh?

The scatting? And is skimmity two different things.

I feel like you're like skimmy, get back skeet scatting?

Here?

You give me some give me some scat music?

Yes, Nate, Okay, but yeah, I agree with Froggy. And I think even the younger generation that's using that word probably thinks is stupid because I remember the nineties we used the word psych. You guys remember psyching, And even then I knew it was stupid.

I thought it was more eighties, wasn't It was the eighties early nineties, but psych, Even then I knew it was dumb. So I hope these kids know that skibbitty is stupid as hell?

Where's my scat music that I want to? Just got this guy sat is this scatman John?

He's saying skivvy of it?

Was this like a big hit. Yeah, it was back in the early nineties, back in the psychic days. All right, I turn it off. We're ready, We're good. I was actually get a scat, you know. I tell you what. When I'm in studio tomorrow, I'm gonna scat live right for you. Remind me. Remind me. Elvis is gonna scat right there in the control room.

Get weird.

We gotta get it, I will. We have to get into the three things we need to know from Gandhi. We do have a thousand dollars free money phone tap on the way thanks to our friends at Focus and uh there you go. Oh my god, I need to focus more and read my script. I coming up lack of focus. Our friends at Factor. I'm counting down my Factor meals arrive next Tuesday. Bring them. I'm so excited to get started. All right, we'll tell you more about that in a second. All right, into the three things we need to know, Gandhi? What's going on?

All right? Homeowners who lost their homes are suing the local utility with Numerous lawsuits have been filed against Southern California Edison that claim the company failed to take its electrical equipment offline. Despite red flag warning about damaging winds that were forthcoming and going to make the fires worse. They also claim that the Eaten fire is the result of Edison continually disregarding the safety of the public when it comes to their actions with their equipment. Meanwhile, the National Weather Service, like we just talked about, is warning of high winds in the LA area, a development that could impede efforts to fight those devastating fires. Wind gusts could range from forty to seventy miles per hour, and coupled with low humidity, could further fuel the blazes that have left thousands of homes destroyed and at least twenty four people dead. Looks like the risk of developing dementia may be a little bit higher than previously thought. A new study that came out this week estimates the risk at around forty two percent for both men and women. Earlier studies had those numbers around fourteen percent for men and twenty three percent for women. Researchers say one of the biggest factors behind that jump is that people are living longer. For Black Americans, the risk could be even higher. The study was published in the journal Nature Medicine and they're saying that there's lots you can do to stave off dementia while you're younger, and that really includes exercise and diets, keep sugars out of your body as much as you can. And finally, a runaway drone is being blamed for massive delays at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport. A spokesman says that a contractor was flying the unmanned craft over a nearby construction site. It lost communication and there were concerns about entering the airspace.

It has since been located.

Over the weekend, it was reported that a drone collided with a firefighting aircraft near Los Angeles. Newly released photos show a six inch hole in the wing. So as we always say, be very mindful of where you are flying these things, especially in areas where people are trying to deliver help to other people, don't do it. And those are your three things.

Absolutely, you're either gonna change the station skip the song if you're streaming whatever it is you don't want to hear this.

Okay, So how does this work? Remind everyone?

So I asked everybody here on the show, which song makes you do that? Which one do you hate so much that you have to skip it, and everybody gave me an answer. So we did half of them yesterday. We'll do the other half today.

Okay, call us now. We want to see if you can identify the songs that we're skipping, and then then sherriers too. I want to hear what song makes you skip? Eight hundred two four two zero one.

Yeah?

Hey, Hey, welcome to today. We do have Jennifer Love Hewitt along with our friend Tommy de Dario coming on in I twenty thirty minutes to talk about this incredible line of merch that Jennifer Love Hewitt came up with sweatshirts and other things. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to her neighbors and her friends and our people that were worried about out in Los Angeles with the fires going on. That's happening a little bit. So you know, we talk about this all the time every once in a while, and I know you love listening to our show, but sometimes we may play a song that makes your teeth hurt, makes you get a headache. Maybe you just don't like them, so you skip it. And that makes us sad to know that you've gone away for three hours, three minutes and forty five seconds. But make sure you come back after that turd of a song is over, please, So God, He decided to skip around the hallways of the Elvis R And Morning Show and do a poll with her her clipboard, just asking what song do you always skip if you hear it on the radio, and we all had them, and okay, maybe this song because you'll be included in that. Really we need new music. It's trying to find the most obnoxious song for this segment. You've been playing this for years and years and then goes away. All right, so we call it skip it. Tell everyone what we're doing and how they win.

All right, all you have to do is guess the name of the song. You don't have to guess who hated it. We'll tell you who hated it. But every single person on this show was asked. We did half of them yesterday, we're doing half of them today. And just because one person hates it doesn't mean we all do. I know there are going to be some arguments, but that's that's what they said.

They said what they said.

There's always argument.

Yeah, that's what we love. We love arguments. I mean we argue from things like, you know, toast crumbs in the butter, you know, and it goes on and on. All right, it's now time for part two of Skip. Let's welcome there's that music we will we welcome Carla online one good one. It's time for part two. We had a very successful good morning. Yeah. Part one was a total success. Let's see if you can be just as great in part two. Now, these are song right, members of our show have said they will definitely skip if they ever hear them. So let's just get right into it, shall we.

We already did.

We already did eight, So let's move on to skip it. Song number nine. What is this to the future it's a different version of an old classic. What is that?

D's John Legend?

Okay, well the name of the song is Fly Like an Eagle? So you got it?

Okay, it.

Exactly, but I can see it. I mean it does have a little John Legend sound.

Okay, it does, it does.

So.

According to the World's Worst Operations manager Andrew Andrew, our own Andrews says he hates that song when he hears it, he skips it every single time. Why did he say that? It's a pretty good song.

He doesn't really have a lot of great answers as to why he just hates it. It triggers him. But also one of his favorite songs in the world is Seal.

So I don't know what goes on again?

Yeah? Okay, so Fly Like an Eagle. You got the title right, and that's all that matters. All right, You've got one out of one, Carl, here we go, skip it song number ten.

I was wondering if after these years, legs.

Wow wow.

Uh hello from the other side?

Hello, Hello, Hello, yeah, Gandhi, Who is it to hate it? Hello?

That is none other than Scary Jones.

Scary hate that song because she sounds so desperate in that song because it's about a breakup and she's looking back at the breakup when she should be just mis moving on.

Is she looking back the guy who doesn't want her anymore? Okay? All right? He was a talking about trigger. You are just later nagging. Your pants are so upset. Okay, so you now have to hello.

So they should read it Hello she's.

She said, say I like that, So now you have two out of two. And now I remember we had this conversation with Danielle just the other day. She despises this song. I don't even know if you know the name of it, but here it is. She hates it. What's the name of that song? Blue Blue?

No, I see where you're going?

It makes when it comes on.

Yeah, a lot of people don't know the name of it because they hated so much. That is called Sandstorm and we don't.

Know why it's called it.

I would have never done.

And it's you just you're constantly waiting for the lyrics to start.

It's like, why are we playing this?

Is it's not the club it again? Like I said the other day, it sounds like this again morse code for killing me? All right, but you're doing really well, I didn't expect you to get the title, but I know you've heard that awful song before, Carla. You have to of course. Okay, and now here as skipp it song number twelve. What is this, Mochelle bat Why would hate?

That?

Is a great song someone does, though?

What is it?

I don't believe Come, oh my god, I can remember that title.

You know you know all the lyrics? Are you sure?

Yeah?

Okay, that is You're gonna get mad. It's uptown funk.

Uptown.

You're so close now our own Dinna who's in charge of everything video on our show and does a beautiful job. She hates uptown funk.

Yeah, okay, she hates.

By the way, this was shocking to me all Bruno Mars Any Bruno Mars. She said her mind sort of waiting in a doctor's office.

Wow, okay, okay, well you know look that's let's not yum her yuck. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, okay, okay, So so far you have two out of four. Okay, you got to catch up here, Carla. Here we go. Here's here's Froggy's most hated song. He always turns this off when he hears it on the radio. This is skip it song number thirteen.

A Bazar.

Froggy Froggy. I'm not loving that song, but you despise it.

I just think there's no talent in that song whatsoever. It drives me nuts.

Song.

I can't turn it. I'll break my arm to turn that song off. You'll chew your arm off, Yeah, just to get wow.

All right, you're probably not alone there, all right, So now you're ahead of the game. You now have three out of five. Yes, all right. Here is skip it song number fourteen.

Song?

What is that?

Shut Up Fan dance with me?

Yea good job, what a great song? You know who hates that? Produce producer Sam hates that? What did she say about it? Gandhi?

She didn't give a great reason.

She just because you remember years ago she put together a an a cappella version of us on the show doing that song. And I think she probably produced it and worked on it so much. She probably hates it for PTSD. How about I mean shut up and dance? She hates it, all right, she hates it?

All right.

So you're doing really well, So you need to get this one just for the fun.

Okay.

So Garrett told us every time he hears this song, he immediately turns it off. What is this stupid?

Shown that you?

Adele getting a lot of hate.

To love it?

Bell?

Someone like you? You got hey, he hates.

It, sorry about it?

And I know he's not listening to this now. He turned off the show because he heard just enough of it. Well, there you go. She actually did really well, Condie, even Sandstorm. What do you have for our friend, Carla?

Well, we can't erase Adele, but we can't erase some crapes.

And thanks to Crepyrase.

Well, Nie, we are going to give you five hundred dollars.

Thank you.

So I put race this morning before.

You look so crape free. Thank you so much, Carla. Thanks for listening to us, and you've got great taste of music. Hold on a second, love, thank you, We love you too. Hold on five hundred dollars on the way crapeer race.

Talk about it, Daniel may feel my neck feel us look at that.

It's like a baby's bott.

Come over.

Listen all.

This is Elvis ter Ran in the Morning Show.

I don't know if you're like me, and maybe you are somewhat. You just cannot stop watching the news. You cannot stop watching about what going on in Los Angeles right now. And there's so many moving parts to this story. I mean, you've got people, you've got lives, you've got animals, you've got property, you've got one of those naturally beautiful parts of our country up in flames right now. And to not be there is both a blessing and also there's this this I don't know about you, guys. Do you have this desire to like, not just not be there to help, but do anything you can to help. Yes, course, sorry, without being in the way, of course. So our little brother Tommy d Dario, is he on the phone. Let's get him on the phone. You know what, hey, guys, Usually you know we have you on We do our best to ras you and insult you and make you feel lesser, lesser of human being. But today, today we're gonna actually be nice for a chance, so for a change, so it's all good. We love you, are you all?

I love you?

Guys?

I'm here.

I'm here, and any kind of any day of the week that I can be a used by y'all, I love, but I'm happy to take a break.

Hey, very good. So it was. It wasn't long ago. On Tommy's Incredibly Cool podcast he had Jennifer Love Hewitt on as a guest, and you were like floating on a cloud, right, I mean you, that was what they called in the business. I get you. Loved having her on, right, Oh my god.

And I told her when I interviewed her, she was someone I've always wanted to talk to. I've always admired, admired her work so much. And we had this amazing conversation at the beginning of December, and we've literally talked every day since. Like my husband Geo's best he's with her, like we're all just so tight, and we formed this beautiful friendship.

Well, I need to get her on the line and warn her about the bad evil side of you, but we'll do that later. You know, Jennifer Love Hewitt was on our show many many years ago for many great reasons, and it's been so many years since then, and I'm glad, even though it's because of this opportunity, which is not the most positive opportunities. Because of this opportunity, we have her back. Please welcome to the show. Tommy's gay crush and it's someone that we're so excited to have on the show. Jennifer love you. Good morning, Jennifer. How are you doing?

Good morning?

I think you're gonna laugh.

I needed it.

I know, I know. In it weird. After you go through and you're going through something as as awful and dreadful as what's going on in Los Angeles, the first time you laugh, it kind of scares you a little bit. You're like, am I allowed to laugh?

Yeah?

Yeah, yeah, I know. Really weird, but it's a good feeling.

It's a good feeling.

Well, thank both you and Tommy for waking up in the middle of the night to come on with us. I guess it's a stupid question, but I'm gonna ask it anyway. How are you? How are your friends? How are your family? How are you doing? Just overall? How you doing?

You know, it changes every couple of minutes.

If I'm being honest, I think it kind.

Of the day is weird. It's like you, Yeah, I'm a mom of three, so I have to try to be okay as much as possible, because my kids are watching and they kind of take on, you know, where I'm at.

So I'm trying to, you.

Know, still be silly and present and all of that stuff. On the flip side, I'm heartbroken and panicked and you know all of the other things. I think that watching it feels unbelievable. It feels like it's been six months and it's only been a few days, and it's yeah, it's just sort of a it's just sort of an ever changing feeling.

But we're here.

I'm with my family, and we are as safe as we can be. We've really missed our little community. Our friends, you know, have checked in on us a thousand times as we're checking in on them. And I think the interesting thing is that we've all had a totally different experience in the same situation, which has been kind of wild as well. But everybody's checking in on each other and taking care of each other as best they can, So it's been nice in that way.

I feel like that's the one thing that you take away from this, you know, obviously it's terrific, but the fact that everybody does come together and help each other and is there for us. Yeah, it's like it's just amazing to watch that aspect.

Yeah, we talked about that last night with our kids.

We were like, listen, this is something that you take away from this situation. Always check on your friends, Always see how they're doing, not just like in extreme circumstances, but be there for people. Hope where you can in your community, be good hearted, you know, look out for each other, that kind of stuff, because I do think, you know, we tend to do it more in these situations and we should just be doing it all the time.

And so it's a good lesson I think.

Especially my kids are really young, so it's been a good lesson for them, I think, hopefully just for their lifetime.

You know, I don't know what it's like to be a parent. I have Schnauzers. That's as deep as I get. But but no, I would nothing like it. But but you know, it's you do everything you can to protect your children because you don't want innocence to be lost. At the same time, we're still kids in a way, We're still we're losing our innocence every day when these things happen, no matter how old you are, and so God bless you and all the all the parents out there who and look everyone for getting through this. Just it's one step at a time, right, you know, Gandhi, what do you think you have a question for Jennifer Love youwett I do so.

You said you're as safe as you can be, and we've been reading about how these winds are about to pick up and get stronger today as a day goes on, what is the best thing for people to do because you're literally in this area where any area coulde ignite again? Should people get out? Are people being told to stay because you need volunteers on the ground, but you also don't want all the extras around? Is there any sort of directive about that?

Yeah? I mean I would say for us, the second we were told to get out, we got out because the truth is, you can't do anything about the fire part of it. You have to leave room for you know, first responders to be able to do what they need to do to save what they can the winds.

They're really scared.

It's such a strange feeling of like just palpable anxiety this morning. I think for everyone I have talked to, like seven or eight different moms.

None of us slept last night.

It was all been watching the news and we're just kind of like what is going to be next? Where is it going to go?

You know?

And also like especially for the Palisades and even everything, it's just embers right now, like sitting there. So if the wind gus go too crazy, what happened? Like, you know, do those nimbers come up and ignite again? Like what is what is the situation? So yeah, I would say, if you know, if you're in one of those areas and they're saying highlands, I would gather what you can and I would get out and I would watch it all from somewhere safe.

Because that is most important.

And you know, just do what you can.

We got out very quickly. I wasted no time.

I think most of my friends, including my husband, probably thought I was a little bananas because he was like, wait, they just said it bent like right, and we're out. So I you know, we got out very quickly, but I'm glad that we did because traffic was crazy. It took us, you know, over an hour to even get out of our area, to go like two blocks and that was within literally twenty minutes of them asking people to leave. So yeah, I would just say, don't wait, get your important things ended out.

If you're just turning us on, Jennifer, love you. It is here. Of course, Tommy Dedaria brought us what brought her to us this morning, and he's on the line in Denver. Everyone's waking up for us. I feel so powerful. This is crazy. You are, I mean powerful, Oh my gosh, I just don't even know how powerful. Line, Tommy, have you been speaking with with Jennifer? You said, almost on a daily basis? What is something that you've picked up from her that maybe she maybe she's not talking about something that that is something important for us to know about her experience in the condition she's in.

You know, I think that no two people have the same experience when you're going through something so devastating, right, So I think the sensitivity is so important. Some people lost homes, some do not. Some won't be able to get into homes for years and years and years. Some you know, maybe do have a second home that burned down, but that was their main family home. Like, everybody has a different experience. So I think the sensitivity is so important with anybody who is going through this period no matter you know, what walk of life you come from or who you are, lost is loss, you know.

I have.

One of my dear friends is Rachel Ray. Her home burned down upstate a few years ago and she lost the most personal things to her, like letters that her mother wrote her who's no longer here, and that's irreplaceable. So whatever the optics might seem like from the outside, trust me, you don't know what's going on, and just be there for people. Just be of a listening ear, be a hug you can give. You know that the judgments I think are just something that can't exist for anybody. And I think what's so cool about Jennifer. She's going through so much, but she's someone who's been there for everybody in her life as well. So if you can make a little room, just a little bit of room for people even when you're going through something tough, I think that ends up helping you and healing you as well.

Well.

All I have to say, I have to say Tommy and Gier have had me and my family one hundred percent of the time since this has happened, Like literally, they are maybe my newest friends that they are the most loving and most kind and have held me and my kids in such strength and goodness. It's just honestly been so touching. It means so much to us, so most people ever.

We called them the Tommy and Geo Show. We love them every chance. I know. It's a it's a show. It's never ending, and it's it's it's got high ratings of my house. Hey. So so, Jennifer, Uh, there's more to it than than what we've talked about here. You're actually doing more and I was. I went to uh b f S, b f F S Andbabes dot com and we're gonna we're gonna post this at Elvis Durand Show on Instagram. You have come up with an incredible uh Love Angelus collection. Talk about that and about how one of the proceeds are going to people who need it.

Yeah.

So again, I've just been sitting and watching all of this, and I often in my life when I'm hurting, trying to figure out a way to turn that into something active, because it just is. It just doesn't serve us to sit in in all of that heaviness. And so this this company, b f F and Babes, they have been so lovely to me and my family for the last few years, and I've posted for them, They've posted for me and whatever it was. And so I I was sitting up in the middle of the night and I was like, oh my gosh, like I just love Los Angeles so much.

It's like I just want to do something to help them.

And so I was like, oh my gosh, instead of Los Angeles, maybe it could be Love Angelis because it's my middle name, but it's also what I want to give out to the city and all of that. So I, you know, DMed her and said, listen, I had this idea, can we do this? And she was like, one hundred percent, let's do this. You find you know who we want to like help and sort of send this out to and I'll send you the designs. In two hours, she sent me the designs.

I was floored. I absolutely love them.

And here in LA and everywhere really there's this organization called Baby to Baby and they do this incredible stuff. They're national nonprofit and they support children affected by devastating fires. They distribute one point five million emergency supplies diapers, food, formula, water, everything. They're just incredible, like critical items that children and families need. So I reached out to them and I said, listen, can we send one hundred percent of the proceeds sold.

To you guys?

And they were very happy about that and said sure, And so we put the whole thing together literally in like two hours, and so far we've been able to sell a lot, but we just want to keep going and get them as much as possible because there's so many people affective and it just seems to keep going that I think we still have a long way to go, but I'm really excited about it. And yeah, just hope that people.

Will will know that that's a little.

Piece of something they can do to sort of help people here in La.

Well, okay again, it's b f F Sandbabes dot com and we're going to have it up on Elvis Durant's show Social on Instagram in any minute now. Now. So Danielle here, who was with us years ago when we interviewed you for many different reasons, does she know that you've Her song was the first song you played at your wedding.

Yes, she knows that.

I don't know if you remember, but years ago you actually were here hanging out with us and you made me a nice little clip to play at the wedding, and No Ordinary Love was our wedding song.

There you go. Oh, I'm so honored.

Thank you.

They're still married. They're still married.

They're still married.

It's and I will tell you. One of the first people in line on our show to hop onto bff snbabes dot com and by merch was Danielle.

I already bought mine. I'm all good. I can't wait.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much, thank you.

I know that it's hard to live living in Los Angeles. No matter where in the area you are, you want to stay watching that news and even though they recycle the same stories over and over, and it becomes a lot to deal with what the TV cameras are showing us across the country. Is it accurate? What are we not seeing on these on these reports from the networks?

I mean, I think what you're not seeing is how many like to how many said, how many different sides to this story there are? You know, I think you're seeing the images and the drone shots and the helicopter shots of you know, everything burning down or burnt down. I think you know you're seeing you're seeing some of the bravery of these first responders. It's so weird for me that I play a first responder on the show that I'm on, and you know, we talk about these things and we do these sake fires and everything.

Is unreal when it.

Becomes a very real situation. These firefighters are working so hard, and I feel like a lot of the stories that are happening are either you know, political, or about like what the city's doing or what the city's not doing, and you know, all of that stuff, and I get all of that and that has to be out there, but truly, these these firefighters have not stopped trying to save people's homes and experiencediences and memories, and they're working so hard. And so I just hope that people know that even if they're losing, they're they're trying, you know, and they're working really hard. And also I think that you know, there are people that have lost everything, there are also people, you know, whose homes are still standing but literally can't get there and won't get there for very very or are damage beyond repair inside because of toxicity and you know, all the stuff in the air and everything, and that their house will have to be knocked down and rebuilt, and you know, there's just so many stories that I don't feel like they can tell them all. But it is a city of people who are really supporting each other and and care about each other and are looking out for each other, and there is a there is a beautiful spirit amongst all the rubble right now. That is it's very moving.

It's hardly talkbooks.

It's just very moving.

It's really they're they're just I've been I have hugged more strangers that have hugged me in the last you know, four days, and it's everything, which just means so much. And so I just hope that people know that there's a really beautiful part of what's happening here that maybe they don't get the chance to tell in quick clips on the news, that is really inspiring. And I hope will terry past.

All at some point, Well you will. It's easy for me to sit here and say that, but no, you will. It's going to take time and lessons learned. You know, every time something devastating happens there there are lessons in the story, and you don't see them immediately, and you shouldn't. Now is not the time to learn the lessons and now this is the time to take action and help people. Right Like we've been talking about the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation making sure that they're taking care of there's a whole list of a million people that are doing things that need our help. And Jennifer love Hewett so great having you here. I know that I'm sure we'll give you talking. I bet you've had a lot of alerts on your phone. You've never known a phone to have so many alerts in it until something like this happens. It's like it's like, shut up, just shut up. They're all very important. And Tommy, the fact that that you you brought Jennifer to us today, we do appreciate that. And I will be nice to you for exactly two weeks. You're gonna miss you. You're gonna you're gonna miss the torture. You're gonna miss it. But is there any Jennifer, is there anything in closing that maybe we didn't cover that you want to say or other than what we talked about.

No, I just wanted to say, you know, thank you, thank you to you, thank you to Tommy, thank you guys for you know, allowing me a minute to talk about kind of what this is, what this is? Then I do hope that people, you know, besides just us, there are so many amazing companies doing small things that you can purchase if you're not in LA, to support l A, to give back to people. If you are in l A, check all the what's up chats. There are so many plays willing to help you with clothes and salons now are opening your doors to just like wash your hair and you know, take care of you and make you feel loved and cared for. So look for all of those check those things when they're sent to you, and yeah, you know, I just I just hope that we make it through these next couple of days of these crazy winds without any more big news.

Honestly, there you go.

You've had enough big news for a while. I love Hewett of course, Tommy Dedario, thank you both so much, And if you choose to do so, you can probably put your head back on the pillow and try to get a moment of sleep. You probably deserve it, so try it out, you know, thank you. N Something tells me you're both up, but thank you, Tommy, thank you Tommy. Did you fall asleep? How dare you.

I'm here, I'm here.

I'm wiping my tears away because y'all are making me emotional.

Oh, Tommy, you had too much to drink last night. I can tell. But it's so good. I love you guys. And when when you're in New York next, Jennifer, please can buye it and say hi to us.

Okay, Oh my gosh, I would love that. I promise I will thank you so much.

You too, Tommy, even you. It's all right, bye bye, all right, guys, thank you for being on the show today. It really changed. It changed everything. It's fantastic. Have a great day. Good luck everyone, all right. I love you.

Oh bye bye, love you too.

Bye bye. There you go bye, Okay, there you go. Everyone has a story. They've got major stories going on there.

It's so true about the checking on your friends. Like a lot of us have friends over there. And I talked to my friend Erica, and a lot of times you feel helpless, like yeah, you can donate money and you can whatever, but you feel like goush. Like you said before, what can I do? And her answer to me was simple, and it was exactly what Jennifer of you just said, like just be there and keep checking on me. Just you have no idea how much Sometimes I just need to talk. I just need to hear you say, are you okay? You know I love you. We're here for you. Just the little thing she goes, even if you're not here in the location, it just means so.

Much, all right, Gandhi, any of the thoughts.

I just can't even imagine what this is like right now, sitting there as you know that there are embers surrounding everything, and here come the wind. What's gonna happen today? That just seems like hell. These people are living in hell.

It's awful.

I don't think he can be put in any better way. Hell is the word. All right, anyway, So we need to take a break. We'll be right, he Elsie in the Morning show.

Elvis ter Ran in the Morning Show.

All right, let's go around the room.

Elvis is picking up dog poof So who wants to start Gandhi?

How about you?

Oh?

I get to start around the room.

Is this the music?

Oh?

No? Were you picking up dog poo? Yes? Okay, our guest was god, Yes, yes, little little ball dog poo type. They just know they know like clockwork, you know, when it gets busy here, they go upstairs and get busy and then okay, okay, Pooh has been picked up. Shall we go around the room? I guess the answer is yes, Yes, Thanks for answering. I appreciate. Let's start with Gandhi Gandhi today.

Man, there are so many things, but I think the biggest one is take advice from your friends if you know that they love you, and try not to get mad at them about it.

I think that happens all the time. I do it all the time.

Somebody says something to me that maybe wasn't the thing I wanted to hear. My initial reaction is like, oh, f you. Then I sit back and think about it for a minute, and I'm like, they love me. And it's probably harder for someone to say something difficult to hear and talk about than to just yes and smile at you the whole time. So keep that in mind when you're dealing with people you love.

You know what. And on the other side, it's okay to be a friend and say the rough thing sometimes, the tough things, like I don't want to talk about this with them, because it's gonna be it's gonna be controversial. It's gonna make them uncomfortable. Okay, maybe sometimes they need to hear what you have to say. Yeah, all right, well I think that goes true with everyone here, but I'm the exception. Please don't tell me anything on Comforted.

I was gonna say, let's talk later.

I have something to say, Daniel, what's up with you today?

So today is the sixth birthday of something? Do you know what?

What?

What?

It's the sixth birthday of iHeart Radio Broadway. Oh you know, I love all things Broadway. Broadway is just like so close to my heart and so many other people around here. And to have a place that you can go to exclusively listen to amazing Broadway interviews and you know, shows and musicals from back in the day and musicals from today. It's iHeart Radio Broadway. Happy birthday. I wish I had a cake for you so we could celebrate and bow out the candles.

Happy birthday.

And someone who is dear to our hearts Deanna. She is such an important part of iHeart Broadway.

I feel like Deanna runs the whole thing, isn't she like miss iHeart Radio Broadway?

Pretty she thinks she has a sash and everything.

I think she lives on Broadway. She has a tent. She's a tent on Broadway. Hey, producer Sam, what's up with you today?

We really do have the best listeners.

So I know.

I've said it a couple of times on air at this point. But just a few weeks back, I mentioned on my Instagram story that I was gluten free. I didn't ask for help, recommendations, nothing, So many people came to my aid, Hey, I know this is really difficult.

Check out this brand, shop here, eat here.

I didn't even ask for help, and so many of these recommendations have been panning out. So you all are amazing. Thank you for offering a hand even when it's not being asked for.

Great it's good feeling.

By the way, I've been meaning to say to you all morning, miss gluten Free, that you were dressed so cool today. I love your your your your suit look, thank you your vested suit or low chested sweater or what is.

That chest sweater?

It's a vest that I put over a stripe button down, and then a blue blazer on top.

Of all that.

So damn.

Awesome. It is awesome. Let's see what's up with you today?

So I've got somebody coming out of the radio station today to play me some new music from Rascal Flats and another couple of artists. And I was on speakerphone with some other people in the room and they said, Hey, I'll be by and I'll bring breakfast if you'd like. I don't normally eat breakfast. I said, no, I'm good, that's okay. Everybody else through is like, shut the hell up. If they're willing to bring us free food like Chick fil A, let them bring in. Yeah, bring it on here in.

The radio station.

It is not a good idea to tell people that you don't want food. And I guess they must be listening because they just sent me this picture on my phone and they are bringing Chick fil Ay there it is. It's good morning the other ways. So don't tell people you don't want free food.

No, every every radio station has a family of raccoon who's living in the back. They will all eat it. It's not gonna go bad. I know we have hours in that bag. Chicken minies, Hey, scary, what's up with you today?

So I'm a sneaker conservative, and I realized that I was a minimalist when Sam bought me a beautiful pair of off whites for Christmas to add to my very tiny collection of sneakers. But my question is this, do people look at your feet, like, do people judge? Yes, yeah, sneakers every day?

Yes, Well I'm not judge for wearing the same sneakers every day.

That's different around here. But like I pay attention to shoes. I love shoes.

That's crazy to me because I know not where dirty sneakers is that bad?

Well, I don't know about it, but but for me, like I have like tons of Okay, a lot of people have tons of sneakers and they just change them every day like they change their their shirts and their their jeans. I personally think that sneakers are just a thing of you just get.

As much as you can and wear wear them into the ground.

Wait you crease them? Do you crease them?

Yeah?

Yeah, okay, I'm noticaying that. But I didn't realize people judge.

Maybe I should expand my sneaker collection even more because I didn't know people were looking.

Do you people are looking?

Yeah?

Do know?

And you should? Sam?

Some people like one parent. That's it.

By the way, mister clean mag eraser will help you clean your sapers.

You have a clean shoe game. Hey Nate, what's up with you today?

Okay, whatever you're going through now, if it's a tough time, I promise it will make you stronger. All of the people in southern California, they're dealing with life altering disasters. The people in North Carolina. There was flooding. In Tampa, there was a hurricane. There's so many things that are awful to go through. If it's something medical. Gandhi, you went through that two years ago. Froggy, you went through it four years ago. Just know you're going to get through it, and it will make you stronger.

It's always stronger than you think you are.

It's so hard at the time, but my god, you just unlock a new level in your life and you realize that you can do that. So just know it's gonna get better and you're gonna be stronger as a result. Whatever you're going through. Amen, Sister Show, I'm.

Gonna play hooky goodbye.

Got kiml last night returned to production with his Late Night show, but he started off talking about all the wildfires and thinking all the first responders.

We are back at our studio, which we had to evacuate on Wednesday. Many of us had to leave our homes in a hurry.

Some of our coworkers lost their homes.

I think I speak for all of us when I say it has been sickening, shocking, awful experience, but has also been in a lot of ways a beautiful experience because once again we see our fellow men and women coming together.

To support each other.

People who lost their own homes were out volunteering in parking lots, helping others who lost theirs.

Amen, there are good stuff, all right.

A few days left of tiktoks, and we're getting all the life hacks out of the way, including how to win at rock paper scissor.

When people say things allowed, they're much more predisposed to want to do the first thing that they heard or the last thing that they heard. When they say rock paper scissors, they're much more likely to do a scissors or a rock. Your first move should probably be a rock. That way you can tie or you can win. Most people never open with paper. I usually do rock. If I win, I will switch tie. I will remain the same lose. If somebody does paper, well, then give them a win. Who starts with paper?

Yeah, this is why I'm like to work somedays. I'm basically playing rock paper scissors. It's just one of my Who does that? Do people do that anymore?

Oh?

Yeah, no today? Determination? Yeah, no, we do that to pick out, like what we're having for dinner. Who's choosing dinner?

Oh?

Yeah? All right.

Thomas Rhtt just announced a big show that he's doing at Fenway Park in the summer, including Teddy Swims. He will be on stage with him, but he announced it by singing one of the songs that they sing at Fenway all the time, sweet.

It till today.

Wow, that's great.

Way.

Going to watch you do this every year is just really really great because I mean, you work so hard on organizing and they're welcoming us back to the same place again this year, right, Yeah, and so I love that. So how much blood did you raise last year or collect? Do you remember?

So since we started this is our fourth annual. We did a little one last November. We've got over three hundred plus pints of blood, which is equal to forty gallons.

Well, that's amazing.

So just for perspective, that's a standard bathtub is forty gallons, So we could fill a bathtub with blood.

What a visual?

Yeah, three hundred and twenty typical standard water bottles, that's what it's equal to. Nate did some other calculations. Twenty thousand hinds ketchup packets or two hundred and twenty three cans of Arizona.

Iced tea Wow, Wow, I can actually see Gandhi soaking in a tub of blood.

Every evening before we go to say I don't.

Right the info once again, and if we miss it because we're driving, how do we fight it.

Online redcrossblood dot org where it says fine blood drive use code Elvis, it's going to be on our socials as well.

We'll let you do this.

I'm so proud of you.

Thanks Andrew. You guys.

He's likes something you do. You see, Oh, I know I got one thing.
