Pirongia dairy farmer Emma Poole recently made history by becoming the first ever female 'Young Farmer of the Year' champion.

Emma joins me on the podcast to not only talk about what it means to her, and for other female farmers, but to also look at the current state of farming in New Zealand. Should we be feeling positive about the traditional 'backbone of the country', or is the road ahead looking rocky and fraught with danger?
