Doc's Dumb Dumb of the Day

Janay Mateo was arrested at the Portland, OR airport after screeners found 60 pounds of marijuana packed in her checked luggage. And that was just the beginning.

When a motorcyclist was pulled over for speeding in Manassas, VA, they gave an honest answer as to why they were doing 72 in a 25 mph zone; they were trying to get to McDonald's in time for breakfast.

An unidentified driver crashed his car through a wall at Kroger in Rosenberg, TX. He did it on purpose, telling police he really had to use the bathroom but the doors were locked. Well, sir, sure. They always are at 4:30 in the morning.

44-year-old Jason Wise went for a midnight scooter ride in Midwest City, OK. The problem was, Jason had been drinking and left ALL his clothes at home.

2 bad decisions in a row will hopefully be a learning opportunity for Noah Ross of New River, AZ. He was fired, for reasons made clear in the story, but then retaliated with an even dumber act than the one he was fired for.

Two Wendy's employees in Newnan, GA were arrested after breaking into a McDonald's employee's car and stealing a backpack. The reasons they were so easy to apprehend are silly but true.

60-year-old Scott Millage used his black pickup, equipped with blue and red emergency lights, to pull over a driver on a Pheonix, AZ freeway. To be clear, Scott Millage is not a police officer, but called them for assistance after pulling over the motorist. He was arrested because you can't do that.

34-year-old Matthew Ware was arrested in a Burbank, CA movie theater after deciding pepper spray would deter a rude movie-goer from talking on his cell phone.

38-year-old Tiffany Booze lost her cool when she thought a store's check out line was taking too long. Her solution got her arrested.

@juicyloveboo deserves some credit. She freely shared the situation she got herself into on a Carnival Cruise, and NOW we know what Carnival does to take care of their cruisers when they enjoy their vacation a little too much.

James Hidalgo is a Marine AND founder of Infinite Martial Arts Academy in San Francisco, CA. Imagine how things went when James was confronted by a stranger while walking his dog on a California beach.

Nestor Roman of Dalton, New Hampshire recently lost his house to a fire. He didn't help the situation by stealing one of the fire trucks responding to the call, then crashing it into another fire truck before driving off.

24-year-old Elizabeth Boucher had a rough night in Daytona Beach, FL. It was a great lesson in why you don't drink and drive, except she probably has no memory of crashing her Ford Bronco, hitting a woman in the head, talking with police, or resisting arrest. Good thing there's video.

When 53-year-old Antonieta Sanchez took out her frustration with a large stick at In-N-Out Burger in Lake Elsinore, CA, a young man in the drive-thru leapt to action (and through the window) to defend workers. He grabbed the first thing he saw to use as a "weapon." It was ... a spatula.

She was either celebrating the fact her kids were back in school, or she really missed them and needed "liquid courage" to get through the day without them. Either way, Jacklyn Reha was arrested for DUI & felony assault on a law enforcement officer when she went to pick up her kids at Lakeview Elementary School.

Brandon Ribadeneira got caught speeding in Phoenix, AZ and decided to "handle" the traffic camera himself. First, he tipped it over. Then, he smashed it with a rock. THEN, he tried to drag it down the street. We know all of this because the camera caught all of this. Brandon was arrested.

Look, you can drive your car or you can inspect your teeth in the mirror. We don't recommend doing both at the same time.

Kevin Jones is known by some as "Bluntman," especially those attending the Gather of the Juggalos festival AND the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force. Kevin was arrested on his way to those festival and, with 128 pounds of marijuana, lived up to his nickname.

He's only 19 so we're cutting him a little slack. For the record, Jaxon, just because YOU feel your order is taking too long at Applebee's, threatening to bomb them on social media is a really, really, really bad idea.

The Lakeland, FL Police Department had a surprise visitor and a lot of excitement last Sunday afternoon. Someone brought in a box, and IN that box was a live Korean War era hand grenade. Everyone's fine.

18-year-old John Jordan walked out of a Circle K in Shreveport, LA without paying for his donuts, Honey Buns, pound cake and fountain pop. The clerk called the cops, who were still there when (for some reason) John walked back in.

Leon Gillespie was arrested back in June after dressing up as the Grim Reaper, scythe and all, climbing onto the roof of a hospital in North Wales, and just standing up there staring at people. Creepy? A little. Funny? Kind of. Illegal? Yes.

Roxann Rizzuto went out last Friday to celebrate her purchase of a very nice new Rolls-Royce. She was pulled over after dang near hitting a cop car and blaming her new car's "loose brakes."

Joshua Thatch was scheduled to meet with his Parole Officer when cops pulled him over in his PO's parking lot. He had driven a stolen car to the meeting, which led to his arrest because, as we said, he's on probation ... for stealing cars.

Arizona State Troopers pulled over a motorist in Flagstaff and noticed they showed "obvious signs of impairment." Ironically, the driver's vanity plates said "Arrive Alive" in a frame that read "Drive Sober: Or Get Pulled Over." Oof.

First, 36-year-old Emily Fair stole a Pleasant Prairie, WI ambulance pickup in the middle of the night. Next she tried using the truck's radio to find food. When cops finally got her to stop they couldn't help but notice ... Emily wasn't wearing any clothes.

42-year-old Eduardo Moraga didn't care much for his job at Planet Fitness in Coconut Creek, FL. He went out with a bang by stealing a gym member's credit card, making his way to a local barbecue joint, and enjoying some food and beer before being arrested.

After purchasing a new 9mm pistol from Scheels in Lincoln, Nebraska, a 21-year-old man and his girlfriend only made it as far as the parking lot before there was trouble. Once back in their car, she was taking a video of him demonstrating how to rack a handgun when the gun accidentally discharged.

This one's making the rounds mostly because of the higher profile of the person arrested. Amy McGrath, the Managing Director of ASU Preparatory Academy in Phoenix, AZ, was arrested for trying to walk out of a Target in Orlando, FL with $1,000.00 in merchandise. She hadn't paid but argued she "meant to."

It's not so much that 39-year-old Shanae Watkins shoplifted bacon and vodka from 2 different grocery stores in Roseville, CA ... it was the amount; 19 packages of Oscar Mayer Thick-Cut Bacon and 12 handles of Tito's Vodka. She was caught. She was arrested.

39-year-old Christopher Burton-Frazier just couldn't help himself. He somehow managed to steal a "Bearcat" (Ballistic Engineered Armored Response Counter Attack Truck) from the New Jersey Transit Police Emergency Service Unit. It's worth around $500,000, so they really wanted it back.

Daniel Ballance from Quartzite, AZ was arrested after being found naked on a train. It should be noted he was on TOP of the train, on the outside, train surfing. And did we mention he was naked?

30-year-old Farnardo Alexander Jr. had to think fast when cops pulled him over in Tampa, FL. He was driving with a suspended license so his bright idea was to try and quickly switch places with a passenger in the vehicle. It might have worked if only he'd remembered to put the car in Park before taking his foot off the brake.

When police pulled over Katelyn Maxwell Sunday night, July 12th, they knew right away it wouldn't be a routine traffic stop. They could tell from the smell of marijuana coming from her car and the fact she was "unencumbered by any clothing" or, as one officer put it, "buck naked."

On his way to rob a bank in Beltsville, MD Monday, a man stopped by a pet store next door and stole a cat. When he got to the bank he asked an employee to hold the cat while he robbed the place.

Jennifer Jimenez and Christina Alcalde are both school principals, and both were arrested for DUI early one Sunday morning. First Jennifer was pulled over and deemed "unfit to drive" and Christina was sent home in a rideshare. Two-and-a-half hours later cops spotted Christina driving the same car pulled over earlier. She was also deemed "unfit to drive" so both school principals were put in detention.

A young man in Indianapolis was arrested after posting multiple photos and videos online showing off some guns. The arrest was due to the fact that 18-year-old Patrick Owens is on probation for gun charges and isn't supposed to have ANY guns. Some things you shouldn't brag about online.

Flagler County, FL police had a fight on their hands with 47-year-old Ryan McMinn. He jumped into a canal filled with snakes and alligators and tried to swim away from the cops.

Ethan Adams was arrested after failing to appear in court on a probation violation. When cops caught up with him he was wearing a "Jesus Beebe Bail Bonds" t-shirt. They'd given it to him the last time they bailed him out of jail.

When Kary Sharpe of Tulsa, OK tried to hide from the police chasing him, he (maybe) panicked and chose a poor spot. Cops found him under their Police car.

An Arizona driver was arrested for DUI after driving the wrong way on the Interstate around Tucson, AZ. She wound up sideswiping another car and flipping it on its roof. She told troopers she was trying to get from a bar in Phoenix to her place in Tempe. She missed that exit by 100 miles.

30-year-old Ashley Andrews went to Taco Bell in Chester, MD and got upset when she felt her order was taking too long. Her next move got a bit more aggressive, ending in her arrest.

Drinking and driving is never a good idea. Spinning donuts in a parking lot to impress your date is questionable. Doing BOTH in front of a police station, well ...
