Before “Garfunkel and Oates,” and before she became Velma on Scooby Doo, Kate was a small town, awkward kid who looked like a baby and listened primarily to Broadway musicals.

 

Kate shares her origin story as a ukulele player and she goes through her colorful resumé of odd jobs, which included a stint as a professional sand castle architect.
