The 2005 movie Nerariyan CBI featured a crucial photograph that helped solve a murder case, similar to the real-life Vidhukumaran Thampi Murder Case. In this case, Binithakumari was convicted of murdering her husband with the help of her lover. It was the first case in Kerala where a woman received a death sentence. During the trial, a key photograph, hidden and preserved, was developed from a camera and used as critical evidence to prove the truth in court.
