On July 1, 2018, the Burari deaths shocked Delhi and the entire country. Eleven members of a family were found dead at their home in Sant Nagar, Burari, North East Delhi. Ten family members were found hanging from an iron grill, while the oldest woman was found dead on the floor.

The Burari case, one of India’s most disturbing and mysterious true-crime stories, continues to raise questions even years later. But what happened to the Burari house after the deaths? Did people who later lived there experience anything unusual or paranormal? And how do local residents of Sant Nagar react to those who choose to live in the house where the Burari family deaths took place?

In this episode of the Crime Beat true crime podcast, Seena Antony revisits the infamous Burari mass suicide case, the house at the centre of the tragedy, and what happened there after the incident.
