More than four years after the 2022 floods, housing remains a major issue across the Northern Rivers. Around 100 people gathered in Lismore recently to protest the demolition of flood-affected homes, arguing many could be relocated and reused as public or community housing instead of being sent to landfill.
I spoke with artist and community advocate Antoinette about the campaign, the findings of a recent Auditor-General's report into flood recovery and why residents are calling for a halt to demolitions.
