NSW Police are part-way through a sixteen-day campaign focussed on domestic violence awareness and earlier this month carried out a four-day blitz targeting repeat and high-risk domestic violence offenders.
The organisation says Operation Amaraok the Twelfth led to more than 750 arrests across NSW.
Back in the Tweed Byron Police District, domestic violence offences account for roughly a quarter to a third of all arrests each week.
