Today’s program is our last official program for the year and we spend some time listening back to some highlights from the year gone.
We hear about turtle eggs rescued across the NSW north coast before tidal surges from ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred; how community groups across the region including here in the Byron Shire are preparing for future climate disasters such as the floods and landslides of 2022; and what the local Labor member for Richmond, Justine Elliot, had to say when she was re-elected in Labor’s landslide election win earlier this year, her eighth election win in Richmond in a row.
It’s not all serious, stay tuned for some comedy later in today’s program when we listen to what was officially a Virgins Sacrifice from Mandy Nolan’s last comedy course, our very own former Community Newsroom reporter Adele Smout.
First though, some local news about a new picnic and recreation area to be created in the hinterland, our cadet Emma Setterfield-Smith has the story.
