**Community Connection: A Day of Service for Gary, Indiana**

Our guest, Demetrice Hicks, is the Indiana Social Action Director from Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated, and he's here to tell us about a statewide day of service for Gary, Indiana. This Saturday, the fraternity is spearheading an initiative to help their neighbors in Gary, who were hit hard by a storm in August. They're collecting donations of non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, and hygiene items, and they're asking for the community's help.

The day of service is happening this Saturday, and Demetrius is sharing the details with us. He's also talking about the devastating impact of the storm on the residents of Gary and the importance of community support. We're also discussing the governor's extension of the gas tax holiday for another 30 days and how it might affect Hoosiers. Plus, we're talking about the NBA's fine of $30 million to the LA Clippers owner for circumventing salary cap restrictions.
