Sunday Business Spotlight - November 11, 2024. Stacey Button, City of Columbia, Mo. Government Office of Economic Development Director and the President of Regional Economic Development Incorporated, joins us.  Columbia Regional Airport is under her direction and we talk about the awarding of a grant that will allow COU to return to offering flights to Denver with United Airlines, likely some time in 2025.  The awarding of the federal funds is just the first step that allows the city to move forward on building the timeline and setting the schedule with United.  We also talk Economic Development, discussing some successes that Columbia REDI has had in bringing business -- and the jobs that come with new business and manufacturing plants -- to Columbia.  We finish with a conversation about the rich environment for entrepreneurs in central Missouri, including the retail incubator at the Shops at Sharp End.
