CTUIR Emergency Management Coordinator Kimberly Hughes discusses the burn ban that is in effect and what it means for residents on the reservation. She also talks about "Be 2 Weeks Ready", as Oregon's Office of Emergency Management encourages people to be prepared to be on their own for a minimum of two weeks. This lessens the strain on emergency responders who need to focus limited resources on injured and other vulnerable populations immediately following a disaster. Hughes also discusses some of the other hazards residents on the Umatilla Indian Reservation need to be mindful of. Learn more at https://ctuir.org/departments/public-safety/emergency-management/
