We’re back with Season 4, Episode 39 of Club 520, where Jeff Teague, DJ Wells, and B Hen talk about Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, and how his injury-ridden career has kept him from becoming one of the best players in NBA history. Jeff says if Embiid never got hurt, he’d be the best center of all time. The guys rewatched Embiid’s 70-point game against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs, and are in awe over how the 7-footer can move like a guard. Jeff then tells a crazy story from playing with the Minnesota Timberwolves about going through treatment for a foot injury, and how they found out his knee was cooked, and that it would affect his free agency. Finally, the guys talk about March Madness and the NCAA tournament, and how the superstars like Darryn Peterson of Kansas and AJ Dybantsa of Duke will perform.
