Lastly, the Fulton County Board of Education will soon have to decide on the fate of Parklane Elementary in East Point and Spalding Drive Elementary in Sandy Springs. Just days ago, a majority of the board members voted in favor to move forward with proposals to close both schools. The board cites the pending closures are based on dwindling enrollment projections and school conditions.
