The Atlanta City Council has voted unanimously to settle a civil rights lawsuit against the City of Atlanta with the family of Deacon Johnny Hollman for $3.8 million. Hollman, 62, died in Aug. 2023. An Atlanta Police Officer tased Holloman after he refused to sign a traffic ticket following a minor car accident, Hollman later died after the altercation. Arnitra Hollman, the daughter of Deacon Hollman and family attorneys Mawuli Davis and Harold Spence share they’re still seeking justice via criminal charges.
