April marks National Autism Awareness Month. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s latest data, 1 in 31 children in the U.S. have been identified with autism spectrum disorder. Rose talks with Georgia Tech associate professor Jennifer Singh. She discusses autism symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment while highlighting inequities in services through her documentary  “Navigating Autism in Communities of Color.” Parents Dr. Bernadette Kilo and Natasha Nelson also share personal stories of raising children with autism and advocate for better support systems.
