Happy St Patrick’s Day!!
Yesterday the news came out that the NBA Board of Governors will have their first vote on expansion to Seattle and Vegas at their meetings next week. It’s the first step towards the NBA returning to Seattle, a move in the right direction.
There are still mixed emotions though as some think it’s all, but a done deal and others are taking more of a wait and see approach and both are understandable given what’s transpired (and what hasn’t) in the last 18 years.
Should we allow ourselves to believe the Sonics are back?

:30- The WBC Gold Medal match is tonight as the US faces Venezuela! USA! USA! USA!

:45- It’s bracket time, so we take a look at the South region and who might emerge from this one.

No, the US didn’t lose the WBC because they didn’t care. Enough.
Yes, Venezuela cared more, that was apparent with the emotions they showed during the tournament and after winning and that’s ok, it doesn’t mean that the US didn’t care.

Headlines and WBC talk after last night’s gold medal match.
Cal didn’t play in the last two games and while Cal hasn’t been hitting in the WBC,  the US offense couldn’t get going at all, so should Cal have been put into the lineup?
Yes, you want to ride the hot hand, but Will Smith wasn’t hot either and both were getting on the base at the same clip, so maybe DeRosa should have shaken things up when his original plan wasn’t working.

:30- In this offseason it’s been very clear that where there’s smoke, there’s fire and if there’s rumors that someone’s getting traded, chances are high that they’re getting traded.
-	The rumors have been heating up that the Dolphins would be interested in shopping Devon Achane, should the Seahawks go get him and what would we want to see them give up?

It would be foolish to assume that the Sonics returning is a done deal and it would be really foolish to start thinking about who would be on the 2028-29 Sonics roster, right?
