No, the US didn’t lose the WBC because they didn’t care. Enough.
Yes, Venezuela cared more, that was apparent with the emotions they showed during the tournament and after winning and that’s ok, it doesn’t mean that the US didn’t care.

Headlines and WBC talk after last night’s gold medal match.
Cal didn’t play in the last two games and while Cal hasn’t been hitting in the WBC,  the US offense couldn’t get going at all, so should Cal have been put into the lineup?
Yes, you want to ride the hot hand, but Will Smith wasn’t hot either and both were getting on the base at the same clip, so maybe DeRosa should have shaken things up when his original plan wasn’t working.

:30- In this offseason it’s been very clear that where there’s smoke, there’s fire and if there’s rumors that someone’s getting traded, chances are high that they’re getting traded.
