Christian Outdoors Podcast is owned and operated by Christian Outdoor Adventures, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit operating in Taylors, SC.

In 2019, after a lot of prayer and research, founder and host, Pete Rogers launched Christian Outdoors Podcast with one drive and mission. "To talk about all things outdoors and how to enjoy God every day."

Through his 25 years as an outdoor writer, author, and speaker. Pete learned that any of the folks in the outdoor arena were Christians without a platform to express their faith. Cable television shied away from overt or subtle mentions of Christianity. Publications were clear, that no mention of God, much less Jesus was not allowed. This left a void for many who live for Christ but who also need to make a living with their product(s).

On October 1, 2019, the first episode was released with the commitment to release one episode a week for one full year and then re-evaluate. After that first year, the momentum was slow, but Pete felt that he needed to keep going.

The model is simple; Pete interviews stakeholders in the outdoor community and they discuss their passion for the outdoors, and we follow that with a discussion about their individual faith journey. On a regular basis, Pete will bring in two pastors who share his passion, tackle tough theological issues, and share their insight into what the Bible says about that particular subject.

Pete has a deep passion for the outdoors, spending more than 200 days a year in the outdoors, hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing wherever he can. But his passion for sharing the good news of Jesus is what drives him to continue to grow the podcast and reach as many people as he can through this medium.

We are just getting started, and with God's blessing, and the support of key partners, this ministry will continue to grow and reach folks with the good news of Jesus.

Today we're continuing our bass fishing series with one of the most respected anglers in the sport of bass fishing —the 2019 Bassmaster Classic Champion, Ott DeFoe.

Ott has built a reputation as one of the most consistent competitors on the professional circuit. Over an eight-year span, he finished in the Top 20 in more than half of the B.A.S.S. events he entered and cashed a check in nearly 70 percent of his tournaments—an incredible level of consistency at the highest level of the sport.

His list of accomplishments are impressive. He's the 2019 Bassmaster Classic Champion, won Bass Pro Tour Stage Three in 2020, captured the Bass Pro Tour Heritage Cup in 2021, claimed the Heavy Hitters title in 2022 along with its $100,000 top prize, teamed up with Andy Montgomery to win the Knighten Industries Heritage Cup in 2024, and in 2025 put on a dominating performance by winning Bass Pro Tour Stage 6 on the Potomac River by more than 20 pounds.

Samson, a womanizer with an anger problem was used by God to rescue God's people at the end of his life and his restoration began with a simple yet powerful prayer, "Remember me and strengthen me."  God heard him.  God remembered him.  God strengthened him.  In the midst of Samson's life of consequences that were resulting from his lack of faithfulness God heard him and restored him.  You see my friends, nobody is beyond the reach of God's grasp and nobody is so far gone that God can't restore them!  The means you and me!

 Randy is best known as the 2014 Bassmaster Classic World Champion, a 16-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier, a six-time Bassmaster champion, and the owner of more than 50 Top 10 finishes throughout his professional career. He also holds the Major League Fishing Big Bass record with an incredible 12-pound, 14-ounce largemouth bass.

 While Randy's accomplishments on the water are impressive, his greatest passion is sharing his faith and serving others. He is a national spokesman for King's Home, a Birmingham-based ministry that provides refuge, hope, and support for abused youth, women, and children facing domestic violence, neglect, abandonment, homelessness, and other difficult circumstances.

 Together, Randy and Robin have helped raise more than $4.7 million for King's Home through their annual online boat giveaway. At the end of each Bassmaster season, Randy donates his tournament boat, and supporters can enter to win by making a $100 donation through King's Home.
