Richard is joined by Mike Holler, a volunteer community organizer and co-leader of Citizens Climate Lobby Chicago. He discussed his role and CCL's mission as a nonpartisan, volunteer-driven organization that focuses on national climate policies such as healthy forests, building electrification, clean energy permitting, and a carbon price. The organization has over 400 chapters nationwide, including many in Illinois. Holler emphasized the importance of local involvement and political will and suggested contacting elected representatives, volunteering locally, and discussing climate issues with others as key actions for individual impact.
