Today on Afternoons with Ryan Price, Inspector Damian Kowalewich from the Saanich Police Department provides details on a carjacking incident that occurred at a McDonald’s drive-thru on Saanich Rd on October 31. A masked suspect reportedly approached a 2002 Black Honda Civic, claimed to have a weapon, and demanded the driver exit before fleeing eastbound. While the driver was physically unharmed, police are calling for any dashcam footage or information from witnesses in the area of Saanich Rd and Oak St around 6:45 p.m. The public is advised to contact Major Crime if they have details or to call 911 if they spot the stolen vehicle, license plate WB292P.
