Last week, the BC government announced changes to its safer supply program, converting it to a "witnessed-only" model where users are watched as they consume prescribed opioids, instead of being allowed to take them away. Dr. Ryan Herriot, with the group Doctors for Safer Drug Policy, thinks this is a step in the wrong direction.
