Province 'bravely ran away' from binding amalgamation vote

Camosun College political scientist Dan Reeve says the Province's decision to replace a promised binding Victoria-Saanich amalgamation referendum with a non-binding ballot question appears less about process and more about avoiding a politically risky fight. Reeve also weighed in on Amelia Boultbee's move to the BC NDP and the new Canada-B.C. Cooperative Prosperity Agreement, calling it a strong week for both Premier David Eby and Prime Minister Mark Carney.
