Two Top 10 finishers in the women’s race at this year’s Two Oceans Marathon have been disqualified after it emerged that male runners competed under female entrants’ race numbers, leading to a reshuffle of the final standings. The issue, first flagged by The Running Mann blog, saw the official results corrected and has raised questions around bib swapping at major road races.
