Iran launched a missile attack on Monday (23 June 2025) targeting  a US missile base in Qatar, in what it said was retaliation for American strikes against its nuclear sites over the weekend. To get a sense of the implications this will have on the current situation in the Middle East, John Maytham speaks to Professor Mehran Kamrava, Professor of Government at Georgetown University in Qatar. His research focuses on the modern political history and contemporary issues of the Middle East.
