South Africa's Deputy President, Paul Mashatile is in the United Kingdom (UK) for the London Investment Week.

The event aims to strengthen South Africa's trade and investment ties with the UK.

Mashatile is using the event to garner investment for the country's renewable energy projects.

Some of those in attendance say the Southern African country's economy will have to grow by 2% to attract long-term value investors.
