The September 2024 Household Affordability Index for South Africa increased by zero-point-5 per cent from a month earlier.

Year on year, the average cost increased by 1-point-9 per cent.

The index tracks the prices of 44 basic foods across the country.

Fintech Company, Flow48, has secured $69 million Series A funding in order to expand  Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) lending to South Africa (SA) and Saudi Arabia, with $10 million of the total funding dedicated to SA.

The company says their work in emerging markets has seen significant interest from traditional financial institutions and FinTech seeking partnerships to distribute SME lending solutions within those markets.

 Themed "Where are we now?", the conference is reflecting at the contributions young professionals have made in driving innovation toward the Sustainable Development Goals. It is intended to serve as a catalyst for collaboration and collective action, reinforcing the importance of sustainable and innovative business practices in achieving the SDGs by the 2030 deadline.
