INTRO:  As COP29 comes to an end in Azerbaijan, South Africa is currently the only country in Africa to implement a Just Energy Transition Investment Plan, despite the country still being very coal reliant.

77 per cent of the country's electricity comes from coal, but transitioning to a diverse energy mix remains crucial.
