The two-day exhibition showcases workshops and insightful discussions aimed at addressing trading barriers and challenges while fostering collaboration among embassies and local businesses.

The event will foster essential trade opportunities and innovative partnerships among local and international businesses.

The inaugural Embassies Business Fair and Conference to foster essential trade opportunities and innovative partnerships

Experts in South Africa have raised alarm over the growing legal pressure stemming from regulations under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), which expose broad non-compliance in the handling of employee medical records by employers. This includes challenges around access, ownership, storage, retention, and proper disposal of classified information. The regulations gazetted in March, establish binding requirements around the security, confidentiality and lawful processing of health data. To tell us more we are now joined by  Dr Robin George, Senior Occupational Medicine Practitioner and National Operations Manager, Workforce Healthcare.

South Africa's Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources  has announced that the retail price of all grades of petrol will rise by three rand and 27 cents per litre, while diesel is set to increase by six rand and 19 cents per litre. The General Industries Workers Union of South Africa, GIWUSA, has condemned these increases calling them "a robbery in broad daylight,". They argue that workers as well as small businesses are forced to carry the burden of a global energy system characterised conflict, uncertainty and profit. The union is calling for a suspension of all fuel levies.
