South African Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC), is supporting a group of South African companies to showcase their products and services at Angola's largest international multi-sector trade exhibition, the Feira Internacional de Angola, or FILDA, taking place in Luanda from 21 to 26 July.
Government says the initiative is aimed at expanding export markets, attracting investment, strengthening trade ties with Angola, and advancing regional economic integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area, the AfCFTA.
To discuss the significance of this initiative, Thami Ngubeni had a chat with Zanele Sanni, Chief Director for Africa Bilateral Economic Relations at the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition.
