View descriptionShare

The Motor Industry Staff Association (MISA) in South Africa (SA) says that it has submitted its formal review of the SA Automotive Masterplan to be extended in line with global best practice, from a manufacturing centred plan to a strategy inclusive of every worker in the retail motor industry. They met yesterday (Tuesday) with representatives from the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition.

The Masterplan they are talking about has set out several objectives, including having a localisation rate of 60% and doubling employment in the whole sector by 2035.

To tell us more on this and also educate us on what the Automotive Masterplan entails, Thami Ngubeni spoke to Phakamile Hlubi-Majola Spokesperson for the MISA.
