As we are about to conclude Women's Month, we speak to Vee Khoza who is Franchise Enablement Manager at Consult by Momentum about the cost to women who are carrying their family's financial burden. She wrote an article on the subject.
In a recent research by Momentum, 79% of women surveyed were the heads of their households and primary financial decision-makers, while 73% manage household finances entirely on their own. That job stretches further than just making sure bills are paid – it means anticipating what the family will need, from new school shoes to a car service. It also means supporting parents or extended family when needed, with 44% of households now supporting multiple generations.
Thami Ngubeni spoke to Vee Khoza to share her thoughts on the subject.
