Kenya's cabinet has approved a proposed budget of 32-point-65 billion US dollars for the 2025/26 fiscal year according to a statement from President William Ruto's office.

Last June, President Ruto was compelled to withdraw tax increases worth over $2.7 billion following large-scale youth-led protests, which marked the most significant crisis of his presidency.
