At a contentious Capitol Hill hearing Tuesday, House Republicans accused the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History of promoting a politically biased view of America and focusing on “oppressors and the oppressed.” Director Dr. Anthea Hartig pushed back rejecting claims of “extreme political activism.” Republican lawmakers, including Rep. Brandon Gill, also challenged Hartig over museum exhibits.
