The mother of 13‑year‑old Dominiq Puentes, who was killed Friday at Bullard and Palm, was on a moped she says she didn't want him to have because of safety concerns. Two juveniles were riding a moped-style scooter when they were hit by a white pickup truck. Puentes was driving the scooter and died at the hospital from his injuries. His 12‑year‑old passenger, a relative, was critically injured and remains hospitalized. Puentes mother doesn't believe Fresno streets are designed for mopeds, e‑bikes, or scooters, especially with children riding among traffic.

Hinojosa said she does not trust Becerra to stand up to Donald Trump if elected governor, arguing bluntly that “he was not effective in government.”
