The district’s Joint Health Management Board has approved anew option allowing retirees to enroll in traditional Medicare with a district‑provided PPO supplemental plan, beginning January 1, 2027.This comes after more than6,000 retirees lost in‑network coverage on January 1 due to a contract breakdown between Aetna and Community Medical Centers. Community Medical Centers says retirees can now make appointments but appointments are still out of network.
