INTERVIEW: Fresno Teachers Association President Manuel Bonilla gives an update on Fresno Unified retirees disrupted healthcare access. The district’s Joint Health Management Board has approved a new option allowing retirees to enroll in traditional Medicare with a district‑provided PPO supplemental plan, beginning January 1, 2027. Community Medical Centers says retirees can now make appointments but appointments are still out of network.
