Thanks to Mataura Butcher Shop and Invercargill Hunting & Fishing, we kicked off opening weekend in true Hokonui style with a full‑blown duck call‑off. Local lads Liam Parish, Alex Gutschlag, Shea Plaisted and Michael Harrington stepped up to see who had the best quack — and yes, we put last year’s inaugural winner to the test to see if he could go back to back.
