Southland artist Meg Cloete is bringing a unique community art project to Gore as part of the Southland Arts Trail. Instead of simply admiring the finished piece, locals are being invited to help create a giant interactive mural inspired by Southland's people, places and stories. We chat about the ideas already coming through, how the project will work, and what it means to create an artwork that truly belongs to the community.
