The Mets keep rolling and the Yankees keep losing but Boomer is declaring today, ‘Jalen Brunson Day’. The Knicks can sign him to an extension starting today and Boomer sees that happening. Yesterday Boomer & Gio went to the Mets game with their kids and grandkids. A foul ball was hit into the box and it hit Boomer’s nephew in the leg (he is an adult with a child of his own). Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Yankees losing to the Rays again. They have now lost 8 straight series. Aaron Judge has been ice cold of late. The Mets beat the Nationals as Brandon Nimmo had another big hit. He wants the Mets to be buyers at the trade deadline. Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes was removed from a no-hitter after 7 because he was at 99 pitches. Aaron Rodgers said he can’t wait to play with Davante Adams again, which seems odd. Roger Goodell was on CNBC to talk about the Sunday Ticket lawsuit. Monte Kiffin passed away at 84. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Shohei Ohtani stealing a base against the Phillies and then doing a very strange gesture with his batting glove and his crotch. Gio called it, ‘air cranking’.
