Boerne Radio is sad to report the passing of Coach Harvey Rodenbeck. Coach Rodenbeck served Boerne High School as the Head Basketball coach in the late '60s and Head Football coach for the 70 & 71 seasons. He also taught Drivers Ed, PE, and drove the bus.  AD Stan Leech honored Coach Rodenbeck by saying he was greatly loved and respected by the Greyhound community.

Greyhound Tennis took on Canyon Lake yesterday for their second district match of the year - played 19 matched…won them all - 19-to Love.  They are 2-0 in district, next match is tomorrow at Smithson Valley.

So San Antonio Sports took to X and announced their Week 4 honorees, and they made a list of 11 players to look out for this week.   Again this is San Antonio Sports…and who’s on the list?

Let’s start with Topper Sterling RB Comfort High School - he ran for 301 yards with 4 Touchdowns

Hank Hendrix of the Greyhounds - your Freshman backup QB- 269 Passing yards and 5 touchdowns last week over Gregory-Portland.

And then Nathan Bell of the Chargers - he kicked 4 extra points and 2 field goals, and one of those was the dagger from 37 yards out to defeat New Braunfels Canyon.

Champion plays Hays in Buda Friday night after an hour ½ bus ride and you can hear that here on Boerne Radio. The Greyhounds are making a 2 ½ hour bus ride to Salado - that game will air live at TexasSportsProductions.com, we’re also going to record it, and play it back right after the Champion Hays game.

Geneva Football will be at home against John Paul Shiner, and Comfort will be at Nixon-Smiley. Both games start at 7.
