Alright here’s your headlines for Boerne ISD Baseball Playoffs

Yesterday Boerne Greyhound lose game 2 to El Campo and then win Game 3 to advance

The Champion Chargers lose game 2 to Kerrville Tivy - series tied at 1 a piece with Game 3 at 1:00 today at SW Legacy in Von Ormy.

So lets break it down…starting with the Chargers - yeah, they won game one against Tivy and had great momentum but Tivy’s fans showed up if you listened on Boerne Radio and Texas Sports Productions.com which may have given them the juice to win Game 2 3-0.  And you can hear Game 3 right here on Boerne Radio with the pregame show at 12:45 right after the Accent with Crestmont Private Wealth - streaming at boerneradio.com, texas sports productions.com, Alexa, Google, the Boerne Radio App, TuneIn App, and My Tuner Radio App just to name a few.

And the big news was the Boerne Greyhounds who won Game 1 against El Campo on Thursday Night - again…great momentum but came up short in Game 2 - they were down by 3 runs in the last inning and staged a huge come back scoring 2 runs in the final inning but ran out of gas - final score was 5-4 - so 30 minutes later they played game 3 and it was an instant classic.  

The Greyhounds were down early 2-0 after the first inning - but Dylan Perez stepped up in the 3rd with this…

And it stayed 2-1 the rest of the game - and it’s not looking good for the Greyhounds.

Bottom of the 7th - down 1 - 3 outs from elimination - and then 2 outs…and then 1 out…and Grant Tamplet gets a single…and up comes the Dylan Perez again who hit that homerun earlier so what does El Campo do?  Probably the right thing…they walk him - so Tamplet on 2nd, Perez on 1st…and Walker Hill up to bat - and how classic is this…2 outs - bottom of the 7th - the last inning…and we go to Esteban Serrano with the call as heard on Boerne Radio.

The El Campo fans were in shock - your heart broke for the poor kid who dropped the catch in center field but what you need to know and couldn’t see is that the Boerne Greyhound Team went out to that kid in centerfield in a huge display of great sportsmanship and consoled the El Campo player.

Unbelievable….
