Heard here live on Boerne Radio last night- the football playoffs have began, and Boerne was in an interesting spot with a chance to make history and get their first playoff win as a 5A team… Boerne was slow to get the offense going, but they went up 14-0 early. The first touchdown for Carroll was off a broken play on a return… then Boerne turned it on in the 2nd half, even scoring a 2-point conversion off a blocked extra point attempt. Jaxon Baize even had a chance to come in as quarterback for a second… final was 39-21, the Greyhounds advance to the area playoffs. We should know the team Boerne will face next week by late tonight- the Edcouch-Elsa YellowJackets and the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots will play tonight at 7, and the winner will see the Greyhounds. 

The Spurs start NBA Cup play tonight at 6:30 at the Frost Bank Center against the Lakers.
