You know I like foreshadowing the future here on Boerne Radio Sports- the BHS girls JV basketball team took part in the Abilene Christian Team camp and went 5-2 in the tournament- they ended up winning the championship as well. All smiles after as they hold up their first place banner. We might be seeing them hold up a state championship banner in the next couple of years as well. 

Updates from Oxnard and the Cowboys training camp- a very uneventful Tuesday other than Caelen Carson, Cornerback for America’s Team, as he will miss up to six weeks with a hyperextended knee. Best wishes for his recovery. Oh and if time isn’t scarce already until the start of football season, the Cowboys play football next Saturday. Yeah, I know. On Saturday the 9th, they have a preseason game with the Rams- less than a month before the season opener with Philadelphia on September 4.
