As football practice continues in the pre-season for Boerne ISD - and by the way so does band practice…The Champion Chargers have announced their Team Captains for this season so congrats to Evan Bates, Kannon Brooks, Hayden Niemeyer, and Robin Vargas.  Men…way to lead.

The Boerne Greyhounds welcomes Tyson Stewart to Boerne as the new Head Tennis Coach. 

He’s a proud Texas Aggie, and says he’s excited to be in Boerne.  Previous stops include Harlan in the Northside ISD in San Antonio, Granbury ISD, and even Bryan ISD in Bryan, Texas.

Astros take care of the Cleveland Guardians last night…6 to 0.  The Astros are now 69 and 38.  And Jose Altuve is the Astro’s recipient of the Heart and Hustle Award as presented by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association which goes to one player on each team that demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and traditions of the game.  

Well lo and behold - the Chicago White Sox will NOT sweep the Texas Rangers at home as the Rangers win their first of 4 in Arlington.  Final score 3 to 2.   They play again tonight, tomorrow and Sunday…if you have to make a game it’s Saturday because it’s Pudge Bobblehead Night.
