It’s officially August… and we’re now just 28 days away from football season finally returning. 1A-4A teams can also start practicing on Monday, with 5A and 6A teams having to wait until the 11th. The countdown is on!

The MLB trade deadline was yesterday and the Rangers and Astros didn’t really get fancy with claiming star players, but one big move the Astros made was getting back Carlos Correa from the Twins after a few years, trading a pitcher in the process. The Rangers acquired 3 pitchers for the bullpen. The Missions are also feeling the trade deadline aftermath as 4 of their pitchers get traded as a part of their Major League affiliate San Diego Padres are looking to make a push for the World Series in a couple of months. 

The Rangers did lose game 1 of their 4-game series with Seattle 6-0 last night. The Astros are in Boston tonight through Sunday. First pitch is at 6:10.
