Boerne Champion Volleyball doesn’t miss a beat sweeping the MacArthur Brahmas 3-0. Senior setter Izzy Maszak was passing out assists like name brand candy in Cordillera on Halloween with 16 in the game along with 5 DIGs. Junior libero Gabbie Rossello had 13 DIGs on the night, while senior outside hitter Emma Wegleitner scored 11 kills and 5 DIGs of her own. The Chargers are now 8-1 with a match up against the Blanco Panthers this Friday. 

The Geneva Volleyball team won their first non-tournament game of the season in four sets against Bracken Christian. The ladies play in the Boerne/Champion tournament this weekend. The Eagles are now 6-4 after going 5-4 in the Spike Down tournament in Ft. Worth.

Boerne Greyhounds tennis team earned a commanding 12-7  win over the Smithson Valley Rangers for their 3rd win of the season. 

The Houston Astros went into the 7th inning stretch tied at 3 but the Chicago White Sox had other plans in the 8th. When third baseman Yoan Moncada hit a single to center field that would bring in a run and later the win, as the Astros fell to the White Sox 4-3. Astros second baseman Jose Altuve homered for the 20th time this season in the loss. 

Texas Rangers were held to just one run, while giving up 5 runs in a loss to the Oakland A’s. That was capped off by former Ranger and current As shortstop Elvis Andrus eighth inning two run homer that would put the game away, snapping the As nine game losing streak. 

San Antonio Missions nab an opening series victory defeating the Northwest Arkansas Naturals by a final score of 5 to 3.

Newly acquired Dallas Cowboys linebacker Anthony Barr has been activated from the physically unable to perform list today. The 8 years veteran will begin individual and position drills as he makes his way back to 11 on 11 team drills.
